I have steel shot for waterfowl, no problem. The science - it's said that lead "passivates" - oxidizes and it does not dissolve into the environment. But I think that is too simplistic - children are affected by lead in paint (see communist china and their secret dumping of poisons into products, like lead paint on chidren's toys etc).... I suspect their motive is not legit - but the move itself - I believe it is a good idea on it's own, without eventual political progressions, because there is evidence to warrant the move: https://nutritionfacts.org › blog › lead-in-seafood-and-wild-game Lead in Seafood and Wild Game - NutritionFacts.org Jun 8, 2021Eighty percent of ground venison was found to contain lead, which isn't surprising given the hundreds of metal fragments that end up in deer carcasses after being shot with standard lead-based rifle bullets—"an impossible number of fragments to pick out by hand, especially because some of these fragments are microscopic." https://nutritionfacts.org › video › lead-contamination-in-fish-and-game Lead Contamination in Fish and Game - NutritionFacts.org Lead Contamination in Fish and Game Michael Greger M.D. FACLM · November 10, 2017 · Volume 38 4.8/5 - (68 votes) Most hunters may not be aware about the health risks related to consuming meat from animals shot with lead ammunition.
