There were reports that a hot box detector sent a warning to the crew on the train, don't know exactly when they knew there was a problem. Not one engineer on that train ever checked for worn/ungreased bearing noise? Not even for a train that is pulling toxic chemicals cars? Longer trains, less maintainance, cutting corners trying to maximize profit. I don't know if people remember the movie "unstoppable" It was based on another incident that happened in Ohio with a runaway train. This looks more and more like neglect.
