That would only encourage putin to upscale attacks on Ukraine's civilians to hope for such a deal. Afterwards, of course, he'd go to war to take the rest of the ukraine and laugh at biden for being such a dumbass. like the people who voted against Pres Trump - look what they have done to our country, just to FEEL like they matter to the social media left. Basically true - however the reason is, some countries in the past were desperate to survive, and the power to rule and make benefit of controlling other countries' wealth (or stop another country from stopping them, etc) is why wars are fought. Communist and socialist governments fail. Then read about the United Nations. Doesn't stop anything. But the league was good at disarming populaces, not governments, and it was good for global health initiatives. Though the League ultimately failed to prevent World War II, the organization made critical inroads on issues such as global health and arms control. Sound familiar? The UN is a hapless, helpless org that is also good at global health and "disarmament" except for governments. It is so complicated. The economies of china and russia are on the skids. That means they will go to war to survive - including crushing their own citizens of their basic human rights/freedoms.
