MLD Woody
I'll say this, good on Dems for growing some balls and playing Trump's game. The Troll King brought this discourse. Might as well fire back.

The Troll King brought this discourse. Might as well fire back. I don't quite understand what point you are trying to make. These "loans" as crazy as it sounds were predetermined to be forgiven. Forgiving these loans was not what the US govt just decided to do. I was free money from the beginning. This was intended to assist small business during the pandemic. What this has to do with student loan forgiveness I don't have a clue. Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans were the main small-business provision of the CARES Act, intended to prop up small businesses with forgivable loans. Under pressure from Congress and outside groups, the Trump administration this week disclosed the names of some loan recipients in the $659 billion Paycheck Protection Program, launched in April to help smaller businesses keep Americans employed during the pandemic. Connections to lawmakers, and the organizations that work to influence them, were quickly apparent. Among businesses that received money was a California hotel partially owned by the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as well as a shipping business started by Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao’s family. Chao is married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Car dealerships owned by at least three Republican House members — Reps. Roger Williams of Texas, Vern Buchanan of Florida and Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania — received money. So, too, did fast-food franchises owned by Rep. Kevin Hern, R-Okla., a law firm owned by the husband of Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and the former law firm of Rep. Matt Cartwright, D-Pa., which employs his wife. Money also flowed to a farming and equipment business owned by the family of Rep. Vicky Hartzler, R-Mo., and a regional casino company led by the husband of Rep. Susie Lee, D-Nev.
FairHooker11
dropping bombs? rather duds... get back to us when this admin DOJ gets around to the prosecution of https://www.aura.com/learn/ppp-loan-fraud to the "White House" twitter staff I submit that this is a thin skinned reaction to defend its position on the college loan bailout to bash on the R's players in this legitimate use of yet another *money freeforall sweepstakes from the Cares act. * (see ACA TARP and FReedom act) PPP fraud is the abuse of a loan program meant to cushion the blow for millions of Americans. More specifically, PPP loan fraud is when an individual or business submits false information when filling out a PPP loan application or when attempting to certify PPP loan forgiveness. Because PPP loans are forgivable, many are tempted to lie through their teeth to obtain money from the government they would not have to pay back. There are other ways to commit PPP fraud beyond making false statements: Scammers commit “loan stacking” by applying for PPP loan money from multiple lenders. Using PPP loan proceeds for improper or unapproved purposes. Providing false statements during PPP loan audits or fraud investigations.

The Cysko Kid
Rather than obsess over ppp forgiveness which was the deal from the start we ought to be questioning why so many wealthy politicians received funds from the PPP in the first place when my company who applied on the first day was denied. It reeks of favortism and nepotism.
