You're really just not a great person, huh?

"Old fashioned" undersells, and excuses, your ignorance

Let me see I think this statement is worthy of a go fuck yourself reply.

Your other comments are the SOS. People in the hood or Appalachia aren't squirting out child after child after child because they don't have access to abortion.

And they aren't getting pregnant because precautions are failing except maybe in a one in a huge number.

Mammals are meant to reproduce.

Worrying to see our country just regress socially over these last few years. From this ruling to growing anti LGBTQ sentiment to plenty of other growing issues. We're going the wrong direction. Sad. Hopefully we can correct course soon.

A generation that just burnt the land behind them is now dragging it down with them to the grave. For everyone's sake please just let go.

You're a pussy, from the biggest pussy generation ever!

Not to mention more deaths / injuries / etc through illegal and dangerous procedures.

This just leads to banning legal, safe abortions

Question for you woody can they avoid that by just not getting pregnant?

Why is it a regression if parents don't want adult strangers talking sex with their minor children?

If they just left the children alone and not take away women's opportunities away they would be fine.

Excuse me, this doesn’t ban abortions it just means that the states can now decide…the way it should’ve been all along.

So if some female who doesn’t care who she fucks gets pregnant, she can go to the state that allows abortions.

If this is a major inconvenience to her…tough shit!

Maybe it will help her make better decisions in the future.

Now I think it somewhat funny that the same court that some here were claiming corrupt for not upholding trumpy's claims of election fraud in just the past few days would not let individual states decide their own gun laws and in the same breath say that abortion rights had to go back and be decided by individual states. But since that is what several of you wanted who say the courts were corrupt, I guess they are no longer corrupt. Go figure out how all of that works in your now somewhat confused states of mind. Maybe flip a coin or something.

Oh, and Judge Uncle Thomas is coming after individual rights for birth control now too. How does that fit in maintaining your American freedoms?

Gun rights are written into the constitution, abortion is not.

And how is Clarence Thomas an U. Tom?  Because he's on the right?

Quote

“It has been suggested by more than one commentator, including some law professors, that I should have stepped down during President Obama’s second term. When that suggestion is made, I ask the question: Who do you think that the President could nominate that could get through the Republican Senate? ‘Who you would prefer on the court [rather] than me?”

-Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Cosmic irony.

You didn't address the issue of the "corrupt" courts somehow agreeing to far right issues in two decisions, but not agreeing to overturn the so called "stolen" election. Now what I want to know from those claiming the courts were corrupt on the election issue, how it is somehow sterling silver when they give exactly what the right wants on the other two. Seems to me they should have intervened if they really thought the election was "rigged". You can't have it both ways. So the only real conclusion you can draw is that SCOTUS is not corrupt and made the correct decision that the election was not rigged in any way. As I said previously multiple times since the 2020 election, I would abide by whatever this 6-3 Republican court decided on the election outcome. And no one here from cal on down has ever agreed to abide by their election decisions despite them now proving out this week to be as far right on everything else just as I have said all along.

1 that would belie your oft repeated parroting of the lunatic left about treason. That was decided in court. But of course there's corruption due to politics. If there wasn't Garland would have at least looked into the murdered white woman at the protest. June 6th. If he were white and Republican he probably be facing the same as Derek Chauvin.

2 if every case was decided solely on the basis of law it doesn't seem there would even be a 6 to 3 decision.

3 just an aside it seems your appetite for justice has dissipated a little bit now that left-wing politicians are calling for armed Insurrection and the murder of a Supreme Court Justice.

4 but apart from your usual response WWBD are you happy with the outcome or not?

Maybe...and i'm just spitballing here...democrats shouldn't have committed to being the worst pieces of absolute human shit that have ever existed for the last seven or so years.

They've done more to drive people to the right with their insane gender idieologies and slogans and attack of all things normal, decent and human than they've done since...well, at least since the late 60s when leftist terrorists ran wild on the streets.

Their total commitment to untruth is appalling.

CNN host slams Navarro for citing special needs relatives to justify abortion

CNN commentator Ana Navarro after Navarro insisted that Roe v. Wade and abortion rights were necessary for families who might want to terminate special needs children in the womb.

Hmmm... I decided to give you my 0.02 Woody...  I saw that a lot of abortions today are pill induced. Just like Roman's Viagra- abortifacients discreetly shipped to your mailbox. You're still going to be able to have an abortion- if you have the money to travel to New York or California to have one. I'll let you cry in your beer that it unfairly impacts 'po folk who don't have the financial wherewithal to travel to said states to get one. I'll agree with Steve- take the necessary precautions to not get pregnant in the first place. Personally- I find it repulsive that some women just use abortions as a form of birth control.

As a practicing Catholic, of course I'm happy that Roe just went away..  FWIW, interestingly- I just saw a blurb that even Liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg thought that Roe was inherently flawed. Honestly, (and being sort of unchristian of me) I don't know how those CINOs (Catholics in Name Only) Pelosi and Biden can sleep at night getting up there spouting pro choice rhetoric. More than one Catholic publication has called for Biden to be excommunicated. May God have mercy on them.

Democrats are trash and they can't get anything meaningful done. Republicans have created a much more effective political party. They're getting shit done, as regressive as it is. Dems in power will just use this decision as a rally call for fundraising etc but they didn't do shit when they had the chance.

The Reps are actively making this country worse and the Dems are an incompetent lesser evil default option that doesn't actually help at all. We're fucked

The rest of your post is just things you personally believe. They're things that are different than what you're used to and you don't like it. I'm sure I could go back in time and find similar sentiments around women voting or interracial marriage.

Dems haven't don't anything to actually make anything better.... but this regression as a society is driven by the right.

I don't give a shit about your religious beliefs or anyone else's. If you think abortions are wrong then live your life that way. But you, or anyone else, has no right to impose those religious beliefs on anyone else. And yet, that's basically what we're getting here.

Also, there are plenty of laws in place that won't make it as easy as just "go to Cali". Credit cards tracked. Search history tracked. Etc. All of that is possible. And yes, this, like most things, would disproportionately affect the poor / minorities.

And, quite frankly, your thoughts on why women get abortions, or the thoughts of any other of the male AARP members here, are generally always incorrect. Even if you aren't as blatant as Steve calling them all whores. There are plenty of resources out there to read up on this stuff. Instead, many of you have this religion skewed, 1950s skewed view of a female that gets one. For example, contraceptives aren't 100% perfect, shocker. Another, over 50% of women that get an abortion getting one for the first time. This "they use it as birth control" nonsense is a myth.

And now the right will continue to regress this nation and try to attack birth control next.

Look man, you're generally a nice guy, but views like this are just bad and regressive for our country. And they're unfortunately becoming more and more common. The elderly in power and the elderly voting their outdated ideas aren't helping. This is an example of something that skews exactly as you think it would as people get older.

What do we have left for most of this board, about a decade of you affecting this country's politics? Let's hope we dig our hole too deep before then...

oh, geez. Woody, seriously - this judgement DOES NOT BAN ABORTIONS.

and, for years some of us have explained our opinion when it comes up - that roe vs wade was a very flawed decision.

It poliltically and socially added a federal right that did not exist, was unConstitutional, and even per Justice Ginsburg - it had flaws.

I find it sad that so many can ignore the fact that the unborn child is a LIFE. How can anyone who harps about science so much, ignore that science?

The pouty emotional blurbs about "my body" and "what about rape..." - are stupid. No woman who is ever raped, has to wait 6 or 7 months to find out the bad knews. So just stop with the nonsense.

Obamao himself, when a state senator? supported partial birth abortion. How in God's name can any human being support THAT?????

And, the 1st and 2nd Amendments were established for the basic rights of Americans to protect themselves by speaking out and fighting/defending themselves from violent crime and tyranny.

The Constitution has NEVER had abortion as an absolute right. It just leaves it to the states Woody. Forcing states to sanction what the citizens can't stand to sanction is tyranny.

Abortion doesn't even BEGIN to rate as a federally mandated univeral right. It's just an anomaly that some people resort to when mistakes happen. So many healthy babies aborted, when so many couples would dearly love to adopt right here  in America - instead of taking their chances and going overseas.....

So which of you will use a little logic concerning how a SCOTUS that made these two decisions did not intervene in the "stolen" election that never was?

cal's very lame response on another thread about new discoveries is just more BS. If it has been discovered then it needs to be in court. Why has no one else risked their license to practice law by once again taking "new" election fraud claims where they belong when logic tells you this SCOTUS will still listen if there is anything at all to it?

RE: your bold... you're getting as paranoid a some of the MAGAs are here on differing issues.... Let me wax poetic for a second... One nation "under God" once you take "God" out of the equation... pretty much anything goes.  BTW, I've said for years we should take "In God we trust" off of our currency. Same sex marriage, and a bunch of other stuff... If it will make you happy- using a few biblical references, Deuteronomy said adulterers should be stoned.  Hey Donnie!!! Line up!!!   And if you want to quote John's Gospel MAGAs- "let the first of you without sin cast the first stone".  The line of those willing to pay $10,000 bucks starts on the left.  :D

OK, fair enough... If you want to believe this is a concerted effort of the Evangelicals to get abortion off the table... Great. It all boils down to this Woodster.... is this just a medical procedure,,, or is that "tissue" summarily disposed of a real human being?  Don't forget- I have a soft spot in my heart for our Native American brethren, who for a long time according to our Federal Government weren't "persons".  Of course, some of the radical pro choice folks want to say- in a similar vein- until the kid pops out it isn't a "person".   :(
