Yes wife MAR/APR and me Phizer February 22 and Monday March 15.

My Monday March 15 shot went very well until Thursday then for some unknown reason all hell broke loose !  TH.FR.SA.SU ran temps of 103 but not 104 got very sick and disoriented and practically jumping out of my bed.

Monday my retired nurse wife called my MD and noticed that I was getting jaundice looking, urine not right temps down a bit...... looked like maybe liver or kidney.  I was in ER Tuesday am, ran tests including the scope job down the throat in OR.   Had a great specialist who was 100% sure my gall bladder was infected by the pictures.

But I had zero GB symptoms, none no stones, pain there, diet issues nothing........ and my surgeon agreed UNTIL she saw the pictures, I was in surgery the next morning.

She told my wife after the surgery it was the worst  GB she'd ever seen in her career !  So what happened ?

Evidently the second Phizer shot got my autoimmune system all jacked up about the really infected gall bladder, it was really ready to BLOW !

My surgeon told me after it was out that sometimes us old 70+ guys can just do that it just goes bad....... often resulting in paratinitis !  Bad news.

SO you old guys, don't skip your regular doctor appointments !  I dodged a bullet because I got the shot !  I just got lucky.  :o

And now they are in process of approving a booster 8 months after the last dose anyone had for COVID-19. I'm going to try to talk them into 7 months since our second was mid-March and we go to England in Mid-Oct.

No reasons necessary. Are you vaccinated or not?

It seems like the more interesting part is if you have  not then why not ?

Pre-existing medical issues, doctor says don't get one, religious, philosophical, political  or something else ?

Not to be judgemental just curious about it 🔍  that's all.

Remember though i had COVID in March.mid 50’s.  I’m definitely not an anti vaxxer 1/2 my kids have gotten the shot.

Ive never had a regular flu shot either.

A lot depends upon your situation. Since I worked in a VA hospital I stayed up with all vaccines, including flu, regularly for two reasons. One is that I knew many sick veterans would come my way and it helped prevent me contracting anything from them. And two, I did not want to inadvertently be the one who spread my disease to them in an early stage before knowing I had it or just had minor initial symptoms. Having once contracted pneumonia there, I added those shots to the list when they came out and still keep all in force. Never want to repeat that experience. Next month, the annual senior flu shot.

That wasn't the reason for my question. You guys can bicker about the pros and cons of the vaccination somewhere else.

There are plenty of opportunities or you could start a thread. Either way I was just curious about our core members.

Yep. In the health care field - the need to protect yourself from being exposed to diseases is paramount - I only know that from my friends who were in the field.

You get to help so many people though - I admire that. I would have gone into physical therapist career, but my knees made that "not going to happen"....especially after I put them through basic training.
