Just a few facts about the covid-19 pandemic that I saw on the news.  Most all of it is so hard to believe so many people can be so stupid about the facts.  Some are coming around now let's hope that it's not too late for everyone.

All 25 states that Trump won have less than 50%  vaccination.  Those are the worst problem areas.

Of the "hell no" I won't get a vaccination stats:

• most have a high school or less education

• non-vaccinonated make up 99+% of the hospital ventilators and deaths,. the vaccines work period.  The "hell no"  people are extending the covid-19 variants period. 

• most are republican, plus a whole bunch of of stats by age, gender, race and a whole bunch more.

This thing is so poltical  it isn't even funny.  For example you can punch up any state and get any data you want for example :

FLORIDA. (despite the large number of older people have less than 50% vaccinated)

22.4 million — or 86% — of the state’s 25.9 million doses doses have been administered. That’s about 104 doses for every hundred residents. Roughly 48.7% of residents are fully vaccinated.

Across the country, about 344.1 million doses have been administered. That translates to 104 doses per hundred people.

Most county-level vaccination data comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Covid Data Tracker. Texas’ county-level data is from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Vaccination data for the line chart comes from Johns Hopkins University’s Centers for Civic Impact. More detailed information about JHU’s sourcing is available on its GitHub repository.

Kaiser Family Foundation data representing race and ethnicity comes from a variety of public sources. Persons of Hispanic origin may be of any race. However, states vary in whether they include or exclude Hispanic individuals in racial categories. Additionally, some states vary in whether they include or exclude Hispanic individuals in racial categories in their reporting of vaccination data. Just our recent experience...

 

My wife and I are vaccinated.  We didn't run out to here or our fav social media to scream "we're vaccinated".. We just quietly did it.. Primarily because we have a trip booked soon to Greece, the Med and Turkey. So it was required for travel.. I seriously doubt at this point that the trip happens.. As I type this, my wife's father is in hospice with a number of physical ailments. Covid and Pneumonia are two of them.. He has had 24 hr home care for months.. So the Covid clearly was introduced by one of the home care nurses. My brother in law, and sister in law(unvaxed)have also contracted Covid. My wife and I have not at this point. My BIL is a healthy GC (General Contractor) and is hospitalized while his wife is not.. We ALL are of the same mind.. Florida was doing well until the thieves in the White house decided to let a million untested illegals in and dispersed them to who knows where. No doubt their hatred for DeSantis  has led them to disperse many of these lil Johny Appleseeds to Florida..

• This eviction moratorium has to end sometime -but- when it does it will release a new flood of homeless people, we, and congress, better get ready for that.

The poor black vaccination numbers go back to the 1930-1970s syphilis scandal which left many in the black population not trusting anything with shots and the government.

Many that I've met from my wife's 42 years in the hospital and my many times I've been in the hospital the last 7 years will not even get a very safe flu shot 💉.    Even though they are largely democrats they are hesitant on getting the covid-19 shot.

Plus there are two important facts here wearing a mask to stop spreading the virus and getting a covid-19 shot to help you indivually if you actually pick up the the virus.

It's just too bad that from January 2020 this pandemic crisis it became a political statement the numbers are very clear on that the "hell no" group are overwhelming republican just a fact.

Even though a large group of GOP politicians are coming on board with getting the shot........too bad they didn't early in 2020, we wouldn't be worried about variants and going back to mandatory mask wearing.

It was their fault !

While this is just my experience, the only people I know from 25-35 that haven't been vaccinated are the hard-line, "I"M MAKING A PALOR BUT I STILL BITCH DAILY ON FB" account. And my new favorite - "I THOUGHT IT WAS MY BODY, MY CHOICE".   Bitch, you didn't even believe in that to begin with so how are you about to use that as YOUR defense?  It's a bullshit comparison anyway given that I can't sneeze and potentially pass an abortion virus onto the next person.    The rest of us level headed folks got it done and, by my last count, not a single issue.  Not even a 'I'm taking a half day at work because I feel sluggish".

Having grown up in a black Baptist church, at least I can tell you there's some history behind the lack of trust.   But I've been seeing the younger folks in that particular congregation pushing the more elderly to just get the damn shot.    So either one of the voting blocks you've mentioned could be further broken down into a more accurate category.

That syphilis study scandal was so wrong you can understand how some people have some distrust of injections and the government involvement.

But this is no syphilis scandal it is a bad pandemic which is attacking the entire world population.  I'm glad to see that the younger black population is getting involved in this very important cause.

We really need the entire young population to get involved in attacking this important cause.  They are key spreaders in their group and to others as asymptomatic spreaders.
