This is one of the court cases l referenced when l said some good will come of it because it will standardize how the states handle elections. Every state has always made up their own rules with certain things like how late their polls are open, and last time we saw a wide variance in time frames involving when they had to receive absentee or mail in ballots in order to be counted amongst various states. It’s not really against the law until it successfully gets challenged, because like l said, states have always made up their own rules regarding time frames in elections. So this is a good things because it will set a standard on how the states treat such things. But did it effect a tens of thousands vote swing for either candidate? No, it did not.
