Browns vs. Chiefs Data Points

Here are Data Points on the Browns vs. the Chiefs:

1.  A.   Chiefs lead the all-time head to head record   13-11-2

B.  The teams are  0-0 in the postseason.   This will obviously be their first postseason meeting

2.  Mutual coaches  the teams have shared:    Romeo Crennel and  Marty Schottenheimer

3. Len Dawson is the only QB that led the Chiefs in passing that also played for the Browns

4. Kareem Hunt,  and Mike Pruitt  have led the Chiefs in rushing who also played for the Browns

5.  Dwayne Bowe,  Derrick Alexander, and  Andre Rison have led the Chiefs in pass receiving who also played for the Browns

6. The only first round pick of the Chiefs that also played for the Browns is Dwayne Bowe

7. Len Dawson,  Mitchell Schwartz, Kareem Hunt,  Dwayne Bowe, and Andre Rison are players that made the Pro Bowl as members of the Chiefs who also played for the Browns

8. John Dorsey  was at one time the GM of both the Chiefs and the Browns

9.  The Chiefs began existence as the Dallas Texans in 1960 in the AFL.  These "Texans" played their final game in Dallas in the 1962 AFL title game, which they won vs. the Houston Oilers

10.  The Chiefs also, in effect played the Final game of the AFL....their  1969 victory in Super Bowl IV  over the Vikings.

11.  Gale Sayers and Bob Lilley were both drafted by the Chiefs in the AFL draft....before the merger and joint draft.

12. The Chiefs also drafted players by the names of Chris Penn, and Walter White.

13. Prior to Hank Stram becoming the  Chiefs/Texans first HC,   that job was turned down by both Tom Landry, and Oklahoma legendary coach Bud Wilkinson

14.  The Chiefs are not actually named after Native Americans,  but after  former  Kansas City Mayor  Harold Roe "Chief" Bartle.

15. Lamar Hunt....founder of the AFL, and of the Chiefs is the one who came up with the name "Super Bowl" which he named after the children's toy, the Super Ball.
