But here is some good news in Dr. Paul Klotman's weekly update, Baylor College of Medicine. Here he discusses the Pfizer vaccine, herd immunity and mask now being shown effective for the person wearing it, not just preventing spreading to others. Also some on other types of vaccines in the works. It's worth watching because he rarely if ever gets into the politics, strictly the science and the COVID state of affairs as well as future of the goal of herd immunity to include those already infected plus expected % who will get the vaccine when offered. Of the more than 92,000 Americans who had died of COVID-19 as of May 20 (the date that the data in this analysis was collected), nearly 75,000 were in Democratic congressional districts.
