Well we almost have every member of the squad here.1)  Let's be honest fellows you guys hated Trump before he set foot in the White House. These reasons for your protest vote really are meaningless. 2) You guys didn't weigh the issues anymore than anybody on the other side.

That being said at least for you Woody I have yet to see one issue floated by the hard left wing represented by the Democrats that you have not supported on the board.

WSS

1) If Gorka can call me a liar- well same to you Steve. I voted for Cheetos. It took me around a year to realize I had made a major mistake.

2) I certainly did- starting with my #1 issue covid, and how it was being mishandled. That alone was enough to swing my vote- personality issues aside.

Haha you still don't get it man. You and others, this attempt to discredit those on here that voted for Biden because we haven't discussed "the issues."

Trump is the issue. That's the point.

The issue was to get the man out of office that was driving our country the wrong direction

Amen. If you want a megalomaniac pathological liar who sufferers from NPD, and paranoid delusions-  bent on turning America into a Banana Republic- Trump is your man to do the job...  I'll take my chances on a moderate democrat who isn't totally nuts instead...

Oftentimes a vote for President comes down to what any given individual deems “the most important thing.” It’s a byproduct of there being a plethora of issues that are important to different people in a 2 party system.

I got some Catholic friends, and their big thing is abortion. Whatever candidate gets them closer to banning abortion gets their vote.

When a person with great power sends a message l think there’s a difference between the message itself and how that message gets interpreted on the ground floor. With Trump l saw a message that promoted division, whether he saw it that way or not. There’s us, and then there’s them. But at the ground floor l think it got interpreted differently on who was “us” and who was “them.”

Building a wall to separate us from Mexico. Does that make Americans of Mexican descent feel like part of us? Calling Covid the “Chinese” virus, does that make Americans of Chinese descent feel like part of us? Does telling “proud boys” to “stand by” make whoever the proud boys are opposing feel like part of us?

It’s questionable in my mind, and l feel like we’ve all seen just how not unified we all are now. In a way l think that’s good because we’ve peeled a couple layers of veneer off society and have a better understanding of where we are and what we need to work on.

I don’t see much benefit in furthering that course of action though, so that’s why l threw a vote at Biden. That was my “most important thing” this election, to try and sway the pendulum the other way, even if it wasn’t in my personal best interest to do so.

Thoughtful post - yes, sometimes people are one stand-yer-ground issue voters.

greatly mistaken. The divide was put there by obaMao. at last count, 42% of hispanics APPROVE of the wall.

Now, calling covid the chinese virus, do you really think any Chinese American doesn't know that the covid came from communist china?

Make no mistake about it – failed President Barack Obama was the most divisive president in decades. The left seems to forget the sick things he said and did. Trump is the issue. That's the point.

A protest vote is what I did last time, where I voted third party. So I apparently hated Trump so much that I didn't even vote for his main opponent to keep him out.

Again, I considered voting for Trump early in 2016. He was an outsider. Not a politician. Etc. But then it became more and more clear he was a shitbag. He pandered to social conservatives and that did nothing to sway me.

He's gone on to show not a single ounce of leadership during his 4 years.

The issue was to get the man out of office that was driving our country the wrong direction

...I do agree with you. He was and is a belligerent dick.

Despite his disdain for china which I fully agree with - china is not our friend - I never liked him on a personal level.
