Ironic Ironically enough I am listening to Shelby Foote's Vol II of his Civil War Trilogy on Audible. Pickett is all set to make his charge on the 3rd day of Gettysburg. It is noted by many a Civil War historian that the repulse on Cemetery Ridge was the high mark of the Confederacy. It's even marked there with a monument to one of Pickett's commanders, Confederate Brig. Gen. Armistead who died at that place on the field of battle. So will this assault on the Trump Monarchy/Dictatorship result in the high mark of Democracy if he's reelected? I think so unfortunately and so does most of the free world. Even more Ironic is that Penn. appears to be the key election battleground state for both candidates. History repeats itself only this time he needs to be dislodged for this nation to survive as a Constitutional Democracy and not an Autocracy of Trumpism.
