Rob Lauer Political Reporter

Part 2

We wrote a story last week about Clark County resident, Sandy Smith, who passed away 4 years ago, and her name is still on the voter rolls. The current owner of the home received Sandy’s mail in ballot four years after she passed away. So 360 served the Clark County Elections Department with a Nevada Public Records request seeking the total number of deceased names removed from the voter rolls in 2019. Out of 26,623 deaths in Clark County in 2019, the Clark County Elections Department only removed 7,774 names. And the 7,774 names of deceased voters removed by the Clark County Elections Dept were not all folks who passed away in 2019. The Elections Department admitted that they do not use the County Death Certificates to remove deceased names from the voter rolls.
