But they were too dumb to know that Dial Bar soap is regularly recommended by surgeons to use on your entire body before checking in for surgery. Excellent soap for virus removal on the hands regularly. Plenty of that to be found with minimal looking. This retired medical professional has long known that. Got plenty of Dial, a quart of hand sanitizer, don't try breaking into my house for my bottle of Hibiclens pre surgery scrub either. Got plenty of TP, two competing grocery chains keep sending me $2 bucks off coupons for 12 roll or more packages that I always take advantage of. 4 hours ago, MLD Woody said: Yes, all of this hysteria is the result of liberal college brainwashed kids and Obamao feeling... or socialism or something Ugh Yup, UD had another minor riot when the University told everyone to get out of town, everything's canceled for three weeks. Axe
Some of the best advice I've seen yet.. CORONAVIRUS Advice. From member of the Stanford hospital board. This is their feedback for now on Corona virus: The new Coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days. How can one know if he/she is infected? By the time they have fever and/or cough and go to the hospital, the lung is usually 50% Fibrosis and it's too late. Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning. Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, etc., it proves there is no Fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicates no infection. In critical time, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air. Serious excellent advice by Japanese doctors treating COVID-19 cases: Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat are moist, never dry. Take a few sips of water every 15 minutes at least. Why? Even if the virus gets into your mouth, drinking water or other liquids will wash them down through your throat and into the stomach. Once there, your stomach acid will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly, the virus can enter your windpipe and into the lungs. That's very dangerous. Please send and share this with family and friends. Take care everyone and may the world recover from this Coronavirus soon. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - CORONAVIRUS 1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold 2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose. 3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27C (80F) degrees. It hates the Sun. 4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne. 5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap. 6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it. 7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice. 8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on. 9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice. 10. Can't emphasis enough - drink plenty of water! THE SYMPTOMS 1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days 2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further. 3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing. 4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention. SHARE WITH FAMILY and FRIENDS.

The Cysko Kid
The fact of the matter is it's too late for most of us to avoid it. It's been out there a long while before Ohio got their first test kit. The genie is out of the bottle. Nobody was taking many precautions in January and February because no one took flu and pneumonia very seriously until the news started putting a scary face on it. All you can really do now is whistle past the graveyard and hope the data from south Korea and the diamond princess is right. Either way it'll all be over pretty soon. On another note there were seven whitetail deer in my backyard when I left for work this morning. At various times I've counted up to 20 out there. We'll make it through this ok. But it's good to know that I have that in my back pocket.

Nevermind the millions of yearly flu shots. The posters in schools, universities and day-cares about washing hands, basic hygiene on top of over the counter treatments (tamiflu) Nevermind how many parents kept their kids out of school from an especially bad flu season, people staying home from work or school to recover, etc etc. And have you ever met anyone with pneumonia or double pneumonia that didn't take it seriously or didn't go for medical care? Sure, those are things we've all had regular exposure to for a very long time. This particular strain of virus is not one of those things. I was very fortunate to chat with a good friend of mine who is a nurse in Shreveport (LA). They had their 2nd confirmed case come in just the other day. The 1st one that came in was the 2nd guys friend. Said they treated it like the flu but, in her words, it "fucked him up until he started recovering". And she isn't one to be taken lightly when saying something like that. Best part, said the two friends hadn't had personal contact in over a month. Dude swung by the guys house to drop off some stuff and pick up his mail while he was at the hospital and still caught it. The communicable nature of this disease is, in word, impressive. The Cysko Kid
This feels realistic. 100,000. If so that's actually good news because it will likely drive the conversation towards a more realistic mortality rate then what we are seeing reported right now. Thats more cases than China has reported or Korea or Italy etc. I find that number to be made up. Also all the evidence to date that I have heard would mean that thousands of people would be seeking medical care, yet between the reported known cases and people under watch, total up to like 400 people in Ohio.
