We aren’t winning this one.

Put me down for the we play spirited ball for three quarters.  Then a series of stupidity shows up - hard to fix stupid over the course of a year.  Pats get a little zebra help and get the late two touchdown cover.

lets hope Freddie does a 180 with scheme and play calling.  That’s a victory.

Baker plants his back foot makes some reads and quicker decision. That’s another victory.

the defense tackles and swarms again. Victory.

and we get an appearance from the Charmin boys.  Ward and Greedy.

Bellichick keeps heaping on the praise to our guys you would think it’s to 7-0 Browns.  Typical for him.

I think he’s probably scratching his head though thinking what the hell kind of scheme and play calls we make this week.  Honestly I think we are the hardest team to prepare for.

Belichik and Brady also love to annihilate weak teams.  We're all hoping a positive, healed and well rested team gives NE their best shot!

Doesn't quite feel like a compliment.

They have to, or the road to the playoffs gets a lot tougher. It's difficult enough already as is is. Beat the Patriots, and the network talk about the Browns takes a 180 degree turn.

Get blown out and the over rated!! chant is going to get deafening.

WEEK 8 - ONE MAN'S OPINION ON THE BROWNS opened up at +11 now +13 and O/U 46 against New England 4:25 pm

Well the Browns are at a precarious place in the 2019 season a week 8 trip to Foxborough as a big underdog and then a week 9 trip to Denver as a slight underdog as we speak now.  They need a couple of wins real soon or risk this season slipping away.

And if the 2-4 Browns aren’t the most disappointing team in the NFL they are close to it. Baker Mayfield had  entered last week’s bye ranked an embarrassing 33rd in the quarterback ratings with a league-high 11 interceptions. Plus first-year Browns coach Freddie Kitchens has yet to fully utilize Odell Beckham Jr. and his offensive line hasn’t protected Mayfield very well. The schedule will ease on the Browns, but certainly not here.

Meanwhile the Patriots entered Monday’s game against the Jets allowing the fewest yards and points per game in the NFL while going 20-6 ATS against below .500 foes.  The Patriot way is to beat up struggling teams which the BROWNS are right now.  The Browns are likely to get back injured starting cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams.

It looks like all gloom and gloom right now for the big road underdogs.  The Browns are pretty much now in a must win situation against the undefeated Patriots.

SO what to do?  EASY use that must win feel in the rested BROWNS +13 and the OVER 46! Remember that they don't play the game on paper so sit back and enjoy.

I'm going to stick with what I said in an earlier thread - if the Browns lose Sunday, they will finish 8-8 at best.

This is a bad place for a must win game but if they go 2-5 into Denver next week it's pretty much wait until 2020 for the playoff talk.

I want to see if Ward & Greedy can still play with their feet vs... grabbing receiver with their hands.. the touch foul rules seem to show up different n Foxburough

the secondary, especially Ward and Greedy, will make Brady cry.

Wilson will intercept at least one pass and return it for a TD.

The defense will sack Brady eight times, and shut down the Patriots'

feeble running game.

The Browns offense will make Butticheck cry.

And at least one ref will call a penalty on our punter for kicking it too far.....

I just really want to win my five bucks back from our "adopted neice" LOL

I just checked the BROWNS are a pretty solid +13 across the board and the OVER/UNDER is between 45.5 and 46.5.

So what kind of game do the BROWNS need to cover this game -and- what kind of game do they  need to pull off the "miracle in Foxborough"?

The two can be different in that one can be what kind of game do you think it will probably be and maybe what kind of game do you wish it would be.

Sometimes one is betting with your brain the other is betting with your heart.  OH the heart is always more fun !  :D

........we know what the press thinks.

For sports bettors and poker players, a state constitution that offers no specific laws against placing bets online or offline offers a relatively safe environment in which players can place their wagers. The next step for gambling in Ohio is currently unknown, but recent pro-gambling changes to legislation show signs that things are moving in the right direction.

Most people can't wait to see this done it's so convenient to grab your VISA card and phone and go for it!  I never really wanted to go with the online and a few sites some have had occassional problems but most are probably safe. A few fun bets is alright if you can handle it and afford it.

However the danger in all of this is the person getting loaded at the local sports bar and blowing his next paycheck then running to get a Payday loan and well.....not good.

I prefer just calling my bookie anyway.

Most people are better off staying home making a hearty GAMEDAY MEAL and enjoying the game.

GO BROWNS, what's good to eat at halftime?

Just curious how many of you out there place bets at a casino sportsbook or local bookie or online or just among friends?

Do you bet a lot, occasionally, rarely or not at all?   Do you play pickems, survival or other fantasy sports?

Do you bet on Cleveland or maybe only on Cleveland or never Cleveland?

Do you ever win?  .        And of course any other related sports betting stories.

I don't bet. My friends all do not it's not something I feel comfortable with because I hate losing money, and I'm worried about getting hooked if I actually liked it. The games I would have bet on this year with the Brownies (my friends ask for advice) I'd be 4-2 record wise. I really thought we were going to beat the Titans, but rule number one of Browns betting is they always lose the opener.

Didn’t you bet against the Browns for the Ravens game? 🧐

Yep. Got that one wrong and the Titans. Had the other ones. In terms of what I told my buddies, not so much what I put here.

Right now, the Rams game and the Seahawks games are crushing us. As I re-examine our schedule, I'm just not seeing how we can pull it off. I've been saying all year that I thought the Ravens were better than some people thought, and they just beat the team that we couldn't. Not only that, they're healthy now and they look good. Of course, it helps when the effing Seahawks gift TWO defensive touchdowns. God that's so effing frustrating.

Well I'm actually doing ok in our NFL pickem this year but not so hot in college...... which is opposite what I normally do.  It's been a real tricky year for the NFL with a lot of underdogs and under bets covering, opposite of a lot of casual bettors pick.

I like fantasy football and survival all for fun.  I've never bet online but have known a few bookies and runners.

I only bet now when I feel like it or have a real good hunch on a game.   I used to bet a lot way back when -but- always watch my money.  And yes I enjoy it puts a little more interest in the games plus I've always loved SPORTS !

I do find that it gets me a lot more interested in the games! I won't lie, it can be fun and some of the online services make it very easy and loads of fun to do. Everything from the single week fantasy football things, to the high payout parlays, to whatever else. It's pretty entertaining.

Now that sports betting is legal in all 50 states WHEN each state sets it up betting on sports will be like playing the lottery.  Within 5 years about 40 states should have gaming up and running and the others will probably capitulate and join them for the extra tax dollars.

Recently New Jersey passed Nevada in sportsbook betting and every state will have an adjoining state with sports betting so like in much of Europe it will be no big deal......and a bit oversaturated.

Just gamble wisely!  It's gambling not sure thing  -and-. don't bet the rent and grocery money unless you like to be wet and hungry.   ;)

And that's just it, gamble wisely. As I've gotten a little older, I find that I hold money a little tighter than I used to, and the thought of losing it exceeds the thrill of maybe winning it! 😂

I feel like I have a pretty good feel of our Browns, but I was almost wrong again when we should have beaten the Seahawks. I thought we'd struggle more, but I was wrong. I honestly hope we can bounce back from that one...it really hurt as a FAN...I can't imagine how difficult it is as a player.

Back to betting...

My single buddy won a giant parlay bet for around $4500 and took me out for an elaborate dinner at a high end restaurant in town. I never have spent $400 on dinner for 3 people, and I likely never will (I work in nonprofit world, lol) but he sure did and it was LEGENDARY. Hahahaha

I could never justify spending that kind of money eating out. Really since all the foods I love to eat like Steak and Chicken I can grill just as good if not better than many places. I hate going out to eat in the first place IDC if it is a a high end place or a hole in the wall dump or even worse fast food. I hate people so

I have only bet on games twice,  both times when I was in Nevada...as that was the only place legal at the times I was there:

Once, I was in Tahoe,  it was 1999, first season the Browns were "back".  Bet 5 bucks on them....they lost the game when Akili Smith did the only positive thing in his career and led the Bengals to a last second victory.  However, I did win the bet as the Browns "covered".  I never cash in the ticket. It would have only been for like 5 bucks.  It still sits in my scrapbook of that trip.

I bet once more when I was in Wendover NV.  We were in Salt Lake, went out to the Bonneville Salt Flats....and decided to go the rest of the way into Nevada to a casino there in Wendover.  this was in 2015.  I bet on the Browns..but I think they...and I...both lost. Again, only like 5 bucks.

Some 30+ years ago in an office I was in they ran a football pool.  You give your buck, pick all the games, and whoever got the most games right, took the pool.  (no point spreads involved).  I may have won once or twice.  Only about 15-20 people participated.

Does that count?

Sounds like Greg Robinson is getting benched in favor of McCray? Greg hasn't been GOOD, but starting McCray instead of Robinson against the best defense in the league sounds crazy, right? I don't think you can go there, not right now. Also, Hubbard has been more of an issue than Greg, right? I dunno man, I can't imagine benching your LT at this point in the season. Benching Kush? OK, fine. You traded for Tellar, that's fine.

I know one thing, we can't get blown out like the Jets did. We can't get blown out for the 3rd time in 7 games. I don't THINK we will, but then again, the damn Patriots look freakin insane. One thing I noticed about the Pat's offense is that we will HAVE to tackle better because the Pats don't think twice about throwing short and trying to block or scheme their way for extra yardage. They throw short SO much and it works. They block well, Tom hits people in stride, and they are very tough.
