Westside Steve
Perfect presidential decree! Raise the minimum wage for federal workers. Wonderful a slush fund paid for by whom? Um yes the taxpayers. I think he should take tax money right off the top and buy me a beer. WSS
DieHardBrownsFan
It's for Federal contract workers, not federal workers. It just means the company will have to pay their workers that minimum wage. Federal workers make well above the minimum wage already.
Westside Steve
I know. I'm assuming that the federal government pays for federal contracts that in turn pay their workers. WSS
LogicIsForSquares
He should have given an executive order that all minimum wage increases. It would force businesses to innovate and use machines. As a result, all of the "I have functioning hands as my job skill" folks would be forced to make the leap into getting real job skills. MLD Woody
Probably a combination of that and of costs being pushed on the consumer, but I don't believe they're that bad. I think the numbers on McDonalds increases weren't bad. Plus, those employees would have more disposable income. I'm not sure which side I stand on in this issue. I can understand the merits in both (while trying to avoid the "moochers" narrative)

Maybe they could become a corrections officer.
LogicIsForSquares
I worked corrections for years while my wife went to school. After she became an RN, I went back and that is how I ended up in GIS. I never expected to stay at a shit job like that forever.
