THE BROWNS BOARD

Image And Video Tags

Recommended Posts

An image tag inserts an image into your text. You cannot upload this from your computer, it has to be hosted on the web and have a URL. If you want to upload your own stuff you first have to publish it on the web using something like Photobucket. In any case a image tag looks like this BUT YOU MUST OMIT ALL SPACES

A video tag is much the same. Again no spaces.

Okay, I'm thinkin it would be cool for you to do a cruise ship, Steve.....

"White Squall" sounds like an old Scottish ballad... is it?

I had spoken with !someone about doing a cruise ship long ago. From what I was told they treat the entertainment like crap. Terrible accommodations down in the hold with the Dominicans and you aren't allowed to fraternize with the customers. Which I thought was odd. This guy said even if the family invites you to have dinner with them it was prohibited. I have no idea, and don't assume, if that is the common operations on all cruise ships though.

as for white squall it was written by Canadian singer songwriter Stan Rogers. He died in 83 but wrote some of the greatest songs about the Great Lakes. I've been wanting to cover that song for years.

I asked you this before - do you ever do the "Green Grasses" Irish ballad? I only ask,

because I heard it on a Scottish band cd, and it's a great song.

This is the song, but the version on our CD is beautiful, better than the clip on this site.

Cruise ships are famously the worst gig in the world for stand-up comedians. It's a step above open mic night, below everything else.
