UN Official and Princeton Professor Says Boston Victims Were 'Canaries' Richard Falk condemned for saying Boston attack was result of U.S., Israeli policies.

A top United Nations official and professor emeritus at Princeton is drawing strong criticism for claiming that U.S. and Israeli policies resulted in last week's Boston terror attack. Richard Falk, a special rapporteur with the UN Human Rights Council, penned an essay called "A Commentary on the Marathon Murders."

In it, he argued "the United States has been fortunate not to experience worse blowbacks, and these may yet happen, especially if there is no disposition to rethink U.S. relations to others in the world, starting with the Middle East." Falk, who teaches at UC-Santa Barbara, called the Boston victims "canaries" and suggested that the U.S. had it coming.

"We should be asking ourselves at this moment, 'How many canaries will have to die before we awaken from our geopolitical fantasy of global domination?'" wrote Falk, who in the past has written about 9/11 conspiracy theories.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has now strongly condemned the remarks, though neither university has commented. Megyn Kelly and Trace Gallagher discussed the comments onAmerica Live.
