In a fiery debate on Hannity, Fox News contributors Michelle Malkin and Leslie Marshall clashed over MSNBC’s adpromoting the idea that your children belong to the entire community.

Marshall agreed with this notion, saying, “When I send my kids to school, Sean, the teacher is part of that community taking care of them. […] Before I had kids, when I paid with my tax dollars for the public school system, […] was that making me a socialist or is that making me a part of a community?”

Hannity Blasts Former White House Economic Advisor: “You’re on Drugs!”

Sean Hannity interjected, “My kids do not belong to the quote ‘whole community.’ They’re not everybody’s problem. They’re my responsibility. […] That doesn’t mean we don’t take care of kids in need. We do; we’re a compassionate society.”

He added, “I think liberal, moral superiority and sanctimony kicks in here because they think they know better than us — we conservatives, we dopes, we Neanderthals — how to raise our kids.”

Malkin retorted, “I think that this sentiment broadcast on MSNBC — which […] it’s confirmed stands for Maoist Socialist Nutballs Broadcasting Company — should send a shiver down every parent’s spine.”

“It is anti-American,” Malkin said. “Hands off my kids! My kids are not your cash cows. My kids’ minds are not for you to propagandize and my kids’ futures are not for you to raid in the name of social justice and the need for more failed investments.”

Considering the terrible parenting I witness from half of these people I think I will stick to raising my own kids thank you.

IE how is your 6 yr old fat? You control every aspect of the food that they eat, they are yours to mold. How are you letting that happen?

Your kid is a menace to the people in the restaurant surrounding you, tell them to sit down and shut up.

I could rant on forever.

Hannity has a point if he home schools his kids. If he sends them to public school he's giving others authority over them and thus in a way, they become the teachers responsibility to protect and guide, at least while they are at school. That's part of the reason that teacher at newtown didn't just abandon those kids in her class, say, fuck em! They're not mine! And run for her life. Instead she died trying to protect them.

Really, this is just foolish. A fool trying to argue a foolish point which is a fool's prerogative.

The truth does lie in the middle of this mess somewhere. We are raising our kids in a community and they are part of it but the notion that my kids are not my own is a pretty disturbing one. yes we send them to public schools and are raising them to be the future public. But the MSNBC video went way overboard with the notion to give up the idea that your kid is yours and instead belongs to your community.
