Nice post Larry.........except you and mik and the rest of the football nitwits here from the most missed the BIG THING that finally happened with the Browns. For the first 35 years the Browns focused on what wins, OFFENSE. Then we invented this dumbaassed Dawg Pound crap and began a 22 year losing streak. Time after time we hired a defensive genius and focused on winning in the trenches and defense wins championships. Meanwhile I repeated over and over Offense wins championships with numbers only to be pissed on by fools, and that OL guys are a dime a dozen Funny how my wisdom is proving greater daily........ and now we have an owner who gets it despite stupid fans stupid coaches and dimwit philosophies The Browns will rise again and soon
hoorta
Better dig a little deeper my friend. While Polish names are indeed iski names, a few Ukie names, especially Eastern Ukie folks, do as well. Also, one can be a mix, for instance, our President is half negroe, he is a mulatto, yes, he has a black name, but his mother is white. Chud is a Ukie. It's possible, but I'll still bet you a beer he's Polish. You have to consider where he grew up- my wife's mom was from Toledo, and there's a ton of people in Lucas County that are Polish ancestry. Yah- I worked with Bohdan Striski and Bohdan Satursky in my Cleveland years, and they were Ukrainian. Though names like yours are much more common in the Ukraine. The other Ukie was Balahutrak. If you look at the scores of this years playoff games, Only one game was won with less than 20 points. Sure, the game indeed has changed. I just watched Tom Brady tear apart a very good Houston defense. However, are you going to try and tell me with a straight face the Bears won their SB because of Jim McMahon, or the Ravens won theirs because of Trent Dilfer? I still believe it's possible to win a SB with a great D and lousy O, but it's getting tougher and tougher each year. PS after seeing the top QBs on display this weekend, I'm not certain Weeden will ever be good enough to win a Championship.
nickers
Dude, I grew up in Polak/Ukie.Mudya (Hungarian) Croatian-Slovenian heaven. SKi IS indeed a Polish name. I threw in the Ukie because someone slipped a birdie in my ear that he has Ukie blood. Tha would make him Ukie, :-) Eastern Ukraine and Poland are very, very close cousins. The Western Ukraniansss were Obamao-ites loving Russia, Polan and Eastern Ukraine hate teh Russians and our languanges are very, very close. Well,Im Croatian via My mothers side..So yes. Many Serbians,Slovenians and Albanians share common names like Petrovic for example...So...not out of the realm of possibility.
The Gipper
My only question is whether or not he can play the hurdy gurdy. (by the way, a good friend of mine is also a very good friend of Chud's...though I have never met Chud. You could say they are drinking buddies. And he is Irish. Interesting times I suppose....and Irish/Polish/Ukranian drunkfest, no?
