The Cysko Kid
Rovers morning glory had a story this morning claiming that Zimmerman is broke and his lawyer is trying to have him declared indigent. That means...the public would have to shoulder all his expenses and legal costs and also, I understand, any medical costs he may incur, essentially putting an able bodied citizen on public welfare. It will be interesting to see the reaction to this guy sucking off the government, especially if he is aquitted of murder, when he doesn't go back to work for fear of his life. sadbrownsfan
According to FL law if he is acquitted under the Stand your Ground law the state is responsible for his legal fees and such.
calfoxwc
then, after Nov, he can counter sue the leftwing media and the nbp racists in a civil lawsuit for threats, bounties, slander and harrassment.

RU4scuba
How could he be "legitimately" broke? The whole initial bond revocation was due to the fact he lied on disclosure of deposits, and they raised an incredible sum of money from donations. Is his family being persecuted so badly that being in hiding has cost them everything to stay safe I wonder, or is someone hiding money in the hopes when this is over they have something left to start over with? Reportedly he raised 200,000 or so, and security and lawyer fees have drained him. 200,000 isn't much, really.

As it should be when ever someone is acquitted. a person should not be required to go bankrupt if they are not guilty. WSS
