  1. oh, baloney. The electoral college was wonderful when you lefties won two terms for obaMao commie, and two terms for bill clinton... one term for jimmy peanutbrain carter... but let the left lose, THEN they want to get rid of the EC because they have flooded our country with illegals that will always vote for the dems if they could just get them legal to vote - they will win the popular vote every time. THAT is why the left hates the electoral college. Going way, way back to the slavery days is bs. The reasons for the EC are far more important every election, every 4 years. The EC just stands in the way of the illegal taint on our electoral system, for years designed to upend our ability to elect national politicians on a far basis, across all states' various populations.
  2. common core was used, abused, and rewritten with obaMao commie social engineering's face all over it. implemented as such, by leftwing teachers/admins who happily ran with it. https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/common-core-lesson-portrays-obama-as-messiah/ Common Core Lesson Teaches Children Obama Is A Messiah Propaganda: A lesson plan for third-graders linked to a controversial federal education initiative makes sure America's next generation does not forget who is the one we have been waiting for. During the Soul Train Awards in 2012, comedian and actor Jamie Foxx exhorted a wildly cheering crowd to "first of all (give) honor to god, and our lord and savior Barack Obama," exhibiting the all-too-widespread hero worship that casts rational thought aside and labels even legitimate criticism as virtual blasphemy. The same cult of personality is creeping into lesson plans and reading materials being created under the guise of the platform for nationalized education known as Common Core. One new lesson teaches our children that Obama is indeed the messiah. A language-arts lesson plan for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders has been developed around the book "Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope," in which the author, Nikki Grimes, paints the 44th president as nothing short of a messianic figure. The description of the associated lesson plan by Sherece Bennett boasts that it is officially "aligned" with the Common Core State Standards Initiative, an attempt to standardize various K-12 curricula around the country that has drawn national opposition. Like the faux Obama autobiography, "Dreams Of My Father," which we now know was likely written by Bill Ayers, convicted terrorist and champion of using education as a socialist social-engineering tool, this book designed for kids paints an airbrushed and quite fawning picture of the former Barry Soetoro. "Before dawn each morning," the book says, "Barry rose — his mother's voice driving him from dream land. 'Time for learning English grammar and the Golden Rule. Be honest, be kind, be fair,' she taught him." It does not speak of who taught him the use of the teleprompter to lie about Benghazi, Fast and Furious, and ObamaCare, which has thrown stage-four cancer patients off their insurance. The book notes Obama's struggle with his identity and uses it to slip in a biblical reference, one that would violate the left's definition of the separation of church and state. Late in the book, Obama dramatically changes his name from Barry to Barack. "One morning, he slipped on the name he'd been born with. The name of his father, Barack. For the first time in his life, he wore it proudly — like a coat of many colors," the story goes, an obvious reference to Genesis 37:3, in which Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob, receives a "coat of many colors." This book and lesson plan are together a long version of the "Mmm, mmm, mmm! Barack Hussein Obama!" chant sung by children at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, N.J., in February 2009 for a Black History Month presentation. Children may be excused for what adults teach them, but adults such as Florida A&M professor Barbara A. Thompson, who wrote "The Gospel According to Apostle Barack: In Search of a More Perfect Political Union as 'Heaven Here on Earth,'" have no excuse Neither does Newsweek, which in November 2010 declared in its cover headline that Obama was the "God of All Things." Behind the headline was an image of the president with six arms balancing on one leg. In each hand, he carries a different policy issue. The image is reminiscent of depictions of the Hindu deity, Shiva. And of course we have the patron saint of sycophancy, Chris Matthews, who is not a journalist but plays one on MSNBC. Concerning Obama's election, he famously proclaimed: "This is bigger than Kennedy. ... This is the New Testament," shortly before he told us about the thrill going up his leg. Common Core is the Pied Piper of education, and we should all be careful of false prophets proclaiming the coming of a deity.

  6. Barack Obama’s Common Core program is a complete failure that has produced “sharp drops” in student performance across the country, according to researchers who conducted a study into the impact of the controversial educational reform. furthermore: https://www.patheos.com/blogs/hedgerow/2015/03/common-core-in-america-state-sponsored-religion/ Common Core in America: State-sponsored Religion March 26, 2015 by Bethany Blankley In 2014-2015 America, public school students via Common Core are: Participating in public school sponsored trips to mosques via taxpayer expense, girls must wear head scarves (Colorado parents complain), Debating whether or not the Holocaust was “merely a political scheme created to influence public emotion and gain,” (an eighth-grade assignment defended by the Rialto Unified School District, Los Angeles), Pledging allegiance to Allah (New York), Observing two “Muslim holy days,” (New York City), Being taught Islamic vocabulary lessons (North Carolina), Being taught Islamic Culture (Tennessee), Being taught world history from Islamic perspective (Florida) that includes learning about the five pillars of Islam (Maryland father, a Marine Corps veteran, complains and is banned from school grounds), Told to proselytize by creating a pamphlet about Islam to “introduce Islam to 3rd graders” that introduces Allah to children as the same God of the Christians and Jews (Michigan), Reciting in class the Shahada, “There is No God but Allah,” and the Muslim Call to Prayer (Massachusetts). Parents in every state are outraged, protesting, and asking, “Why is Islam being taught in public schools?” and “How did this happen?” “Where is the ACLU?” “Where are the people ‘protesting against’ religion being taught in public schools?” The short answer is Common Core. Globally, Common Core originated from the “One World Education” concept, orchestrated by The Connect All Schools program, reportedly funded by the Qatar Foundation International (QFI). The director of QFI’s Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics is Tariq Ramadan, grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder, Hassan al-Banna. According to WND, in 2011, QFI “partnered with the Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to facilitate matchmaking between classrooms in the U.S. and international schools through … the ‘Connect All Schools’ project.” QFI states on its website that the initiative was founded in response to Obama’s infamous 2009 Cairo speech, during which members of the Muslim Brotherhood were seated in the front row. Former president Barack Obama’s alleged mentor and documented domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers, reportedly received $49.2 million from Vartan Gregorian, a board member of the Qatar Foundation, who was also reportedly involved with Obama’s White House Fellowships Commission. Gregorian is an integral part of “Connect All Schools,” WND reports, through which Qatar invested $5 million to teach Arabic in American public schools. Domestically, in America, Common Core was “created by” the National Governor’s Association (NGA), Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), Achieve Inc., ACT, and the College Board. The Common Core State Standards are copyrighted by the NGA and CCSSO a private company. Many groups helped create these standards (chief among them, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Nations), but Pearson Education, an NGA donor and CCSSO’s listed business and industry partner, is integral to Common Core. According to its website, Pearson Education designs “education products and services to institutions, governments and direct to individual learners.” Listed on the London and New York Stock Exchange, of its numerous investors, the Libyan Investment Authority is its largest financial contributor, holding 26 million shares. According to the Financial Times, the Libyan Investment Authority was founded by Muammer Gaddafi’s son Seif al-Islam; more than five Gaddifi family members own shares at the time of the original publication of this article. The Council on Islamic Relations (CAIR, a recently designated terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates), Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Muslim Brotherhood all heavily invested in Pearson Education through the Libyan Investment Authority. Despite this connection, according to The Guardian, Pearson Education claims as a public company operating in a free market it has no control over its shareholders’ terrorist related activities. Here’s an example of curriculum sent to me by a parent: Intro to Islam Common Core Curriculum Common Core was implemented in states that accepted federal funds from the 2009 “Race to the Top” initiative, which encouraged states to receive federal money to adopt new standards that would improve their public school children’s test performance results. In order for a state to participate, the state board of education and the state’s educational professional standards board would have voted to adopt Common Core standards. Each participating state has posted the Common Core Standards on its respective state department of education websites. Two years prior to the “Race to the top” initiative, in 2007, the FBI uncovered documents revealing the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood to indoctrinate American K-12 students by teaching Islam. They were part of the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terror-funding trial in U.S. history. The FBI uncovered the Muslim Brotherhood’s Manifesto, “On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” (Exhibit 42945 and Exhibit 42946). Keep in mind its slogan: “Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our Leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the path of Allah is our highest hope.” After states applied for “Race to the top” federal funds in 2009, Pearson Education helped create Common Core curriculum and standards, and also became the sole evaluator of teachers in some states. In May 2014 Pearson Education took over New York State’s teacher certification process. In order for New York State to continue receiving “Race to the Top” federal funds it had to implement “reforms.” Pearson Education also began solely administering the Teacher Performance assessment (TPA). Instead of the state hiring the teachers, a private company whose investors fund terrorism and propagate Islam evaluates teachers. Additionally, it remains unclear which state or federal bodies exist to oversee university programs (under Title VI of the Higher Education Act) that are training K-12 teachers to develop lesson plans and seminars on “Middle East Studies.” Here are a few examples of such materials: Common Core High School Vocabulary Quiz on Islam sent to me by a parent Common Core homework published on Facebook by parent. Common Core homework published on Facebook by parent. In order to end Common Core and eliminate the Islamic indoctrination being taught in public schools, parents may demand that: Their state school board members be investigated and/or fired and replaced, Their state legislature and governor reject “Race to the top” federal funds and implement legislation or reverse its state education department’s implementation of Common Core in their state, and Exempt their child from state testing. Parents can also take their children out of public schools. Parental rights are guaranteed by the 14th amendment. The Supreme Court has held that parents possess the “fundamental right” to “direct the upbringing and education of their children.” The court ruled in Pierce v. Society of Sisters, 268 U.S. 510, 534-35, that “the child is not the mere creature of the State: those who nurture him and direct his destiny have the right coupled with the high duty to recognize and prepare him for additional obligations.” The Supreme Court criticized the Nebraska state legislature for attempting to interfere “with the power of parents to control the education of their own” in Meyer v. Nebraska, 262 U.S. 390, 402. It ruled a parent’s right to raise his/her children means a parent is protected from unreasonable state interferences, one of the unwritten “liberties” protected by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment” in Meyer v. Nebraska.
  7. up yours. LOL ahem. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/12/obama_gave_commoncore_contract_to_publisher_got_65_million_book_deal_in_return.html December 9, 2019 Obama gave Common Core contract to publisher, got $65-million book deal in return? By Monica Showalter As far-left Democrats yell about bribery and high crimes and misdemeanors, let's turn to their own side of the aisle, starting with the once penniless President Obama, who left public office a very, very rich man. He just bought a Martha's Vineyard mansion for a cool $11.75 million, which is in addition to his Kalorama lookout post, his Chicago home, and possibly a Hawaii spread. At some point, you've made enough...but not him. Ostensibly, it's mainly the work of his book deals. No bribery there, right? Well, ahem... According to Investment Watch (IWB), something doesn't quite look right. Obama gave Pearson Publishing $350 million to create Commoncore text and Pearson gave Obama a $65 million dollar book deal in return. ...and... Pearson Publishing was paid for Commoncore but Penguin Random House Publishing did the Obama book deal. But there is commonality with the two: From Wiki: Penguin Random House was formed on July 1, 2013, upon the completion of a £2.4 billion transaction between Bertelsmann and Pearson to merge their respective trade publishing companies, Random House and Penguin Group. Bertelsmann and Pearson, the parent companies, owning 53% and 47%, respectively. In July 2017, Pearson agreed to sell a 22% stake in the business to Bertelsmann, thereby retaining a 25% holding. That sounds like a classic bribe. You give me this big contract, and I'll kick back some to you at a later date. Chicago Way. The book cash flowed to Obama in 2017. Pearson, incidentally, seemed to lose money anyway, given the public distaste for Obama's federal takeover of education via Common Core, which extended to states cutting the program. President Trump complained about the apparent quid pro quo last summer. It's not the first time Obama has done things like this, either. IWB notes that Obama's net neutrality stance benefited Netflix, and surprise, surprise, he got a lucrative deal with Netflix, too. One hand washes the other. Book deals, incidentally, have been some pretty spectacular avenues for bribery based on their apparent deniability. Here's a famous one from Russia in 1997 that rocked the Russian political landscape: Ethical questions were raised this week when a Russian reporter revealed that Mr. Chubais and his collaborators had accepted $90,000 each for writing a monograph on the history of privatization. The publisher, Segodnya Press, is owned by Oneksimbank, a powerful financial institution that recently won a series of coveted auctions of state property. Chubais is Anatoly Chubais, former Russian finance minister and famed Russian "reformer," who apparently reformed his bankbook, too. He was in tight with Democrats, particularly John Podesta, and might have been the role model or maybe the guy who gave Democrats the ideas about how useful the publishers could be. Here's what Chubais might have taught them: In the middle of these seven circles of hell stood Anatoly Chubais. He was in the middle of Russia's privatization effort which saw huge state assets sold for pennies on the dollar to oligarchs while Russian citizens were completely cheated of the shares they were promised, either through devaluation, fire-sale desperate unloading to raise cash (remember, many were starving), intransparent transactions, and sometimes disinformation and thuggery: False dates and places for sales were announced to conceal real ones. Thug vehicles sometimes blocked roads so no one could line up to buy the shares they were entitled to. It was that bad. Once again, Chubais was in the middle of it. Chubais got snared in a bribery scandal of Clintonian character — he was given a $90,000 book advance (huge sum in Russia at the time) paid for by a murkily backed publisher (sound familiar?) which looked a lot like a disguised bribe or payoff. That caused a scandal and got him booted from his position as finance minister. He continued to tool around in cronyish business deals and retained the good opinion of Harvard as a 'reformer,' which was quite a node of Clinton loyalists — Larry Summers, being one, John Podesta being on friendly terms with the crowd, too, by making speeches there. Book deals. The way to get rich upon leaving public office, just as congressional insiders make themselves rich in public office by trading on insider information, as described by Peter Schweizer in Throw Them All Out." There are a hundred ways to Sunday for politicians to get rich both in and out of public office. As the Democrat House now focuses on impeaching President Trump, their hypocrisy is pretty glaring. Obama's book deals are what need investigating, not President Trump's bid to halt corruption in Ukraine

  10. for the most part, I see public schools often going off the cliff politically left to a perverted degree. I do not see charter schools/for profit schools doing the same. 13. furthermore: https://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/presidential-campaign/311882-liberals-who-claim-electoral-college-is-racist-need If the Democrats want to make an efficacy or merit-based argument with respect to the Electoral College, then by all means make it. It ought to be based in history and fact not fanciful revisionist history, and it should be made not just during an election year because of discontent with the electoral outcome. Having gone through the first three stages of the mourning process, Democrats are left with two remaining steps. They will soon sink into depression and, perhaps unwillingly, they will arrive at acceptance, accepting the fact that as of Jan. 20, 2017, Donald J. Trump is their president of the United States. Kayleigh McEnany is a political commentator who recently received her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. She graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and also studied politics at Oxford University.
  14. yes I did - it's stupid. It's stupid because back before the 17th amendment, it was racist in effect, NOT by intent. The point of the 17th amendment, was to make it NOT racist. She's a liar - the claim of "it's racist" is just really stupid. and extremely dishonest. https://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/presidential-campaign/311882-liberals-who-claim-electoral-college-is-racist-need The infamous “Three-Fifths Compromise” determined how the population would be counted, with each slave counting as just three-fifths of a person. This racist way of counting determined the number of congressional representatives in each state and thus the number of electors. But the Three-Fifths Compromise was eliminated by way of the Thirteenth Amendment, which abolished slavery, and the Fourteenth Amendment, which states that “representatives shall be apportioned… counting the whole number of persons in each State… .” *********************************************************** And as Allen Guelzo and James Hulme write in the Washington Post: “The electoral college (itself) had nothing to do with slavery … the discussions of the electoral college and the method of electing a president never occur in the context of any of the convention’s two climactic debates over slavery.” In other words, the Electoral College was not a racist conception, and the inequitable way electors were counted was remedied in the abolition of the Three-Fifths Compromise. *************************************************************** Did you even bother to research the subject? And the following day, Pence announced he was appointing Ambassador Debbie Birx to assist the effort as "White House coronavirus response coordinator." It MUST be someone outside of NEA circles. They will hate it. I don't give a frack. E. Trying to help underperforming charter schools is a bad thing? well, the NEA HATES charter schools - they are their competition. and they don't have to join the NEA and pay dues, right? So much money is WASTED by public schools. transgender studies? in high school? elementary school? moochelle lunches that kids refuse to eat? Common core standards that totally ignore those schools with special education departments? F. I say, get rid of the US Dept of Education altogether. We have education depts in every state in the union, I think. Let them run their states' schools. The NEA is a giant liberal "pac" of sorts - where do they get all that much money to solely? donate to democrat politicians ? I remember years ago - my Wife, highly respected teacher - was being harassed by a lefty union rep, demanding to know that she'd be voting for Gore. Our friends, several teachers there, went and told her to STFU and leave my Wife alone, unless she wanted to meet me in a very defensive mood. So, that rep did, even apologized. I have met all sorts of teachers who are far left dem back in the day, to let them pick the replacement for Devos. Every single dept head that doesn't kiss up to them, isn't one of them.... will be getting angry low marks, regardless of how hard they try, and how good a job they do. E. I love vouchers for students to go to the school of their parents' choice. I don't care if the public schools hate the competition. Let public schools that are crap get their act together if they can't stand losing students who choose to go elsewhere. They would have far, far more political power if private schools were not in existence. I don't care. Do not put NEA people in charge of the Dept of Ed

Had to toss it in the sink, and I'll throw it out.
  20. the trouble is, all those hot pockets have to be refrigerated. If the power goes off (corona catastrophe lol), you'd have to disperse all of them that day to neighbors and homeless people, after chowing down yourself.
  21. more like three steps away from it. Some other dem politicians are talking about going after guns because "it's an emergency". the corrupt politicization of this virus spread is nauseating. I'm back to wondering about this particular virus being a low threat bio weapon version of certain traits. Before, I decided it must not be, or we'd know it by now. Now I'm reconsidering, because if it was, all ? governments would keep it a secret as to not cause more harm by entire populations panicking. Whatever. I'll have my best garden in years this year.
  22. Note - investing in your 401K program at work, again, is one of the absolute best things you can ever do for yourself. Years from now - the accrued worth will have you doing a happy dance.
  23. Exactly. They already ruined Flynn - lost his home, finances, went broke to try to save himself, then they were going to go after his son. The corrupt prosecutions in this whole TDS "we are not losing this election" garbage must never happen again.
