  6. biden and co just want to ride the wave of lies and hateful rhetoric to more power, more authority, more wealth, more control. It's history - some governments get the idea to take everything over. That includes every person n the country. Manipulated, censored, threatened, and politically selective enforcement of "laws". 8. it is - Conklin is outstanding, but Nov - he had surgery to repair the torn patellar tendon. It could take up to a year to get back. Hubbard is also on IR. The run game suffered with him out. If they don't have Conklin for half a season, and Teller gets hurt, the Browns are in trouble at this point. A lot of weight goes on a knee - it took a year and a half for my knee to be back, but my situation wasn't just a tear....

  11. wait - I meant the Browns wouldn't draft Penning in the first round. I don't remember Pipkins being my OT.... I looked it up, he was drafted in the 3rd round a few years ago. It's interesting. Experts fail to guess right... this article has the Browns taking a surprise player: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2952719-2022-nfl-draft-1-surprise-prospect-every-team-could-target
  12. You could be/are probably right. Kennard does need to lose some weight. "They said Wirfs would probably go inside. Some mock had Kennard going with the first pick of the second round. What do I know? lol But as much as I like Hance - watching him have a terrible day vs watt makes me want a big power RT. If I did another stupid mock draft, maybe I would pick Chad Muma, lb instead in the third round. Penning is all that and more - but first round - not happening, we all know that.
  13. probably/hopefully, sure. All the world tied into itself economically. Why, what could happen? I'm sure they didn't think WWI or WWII would ever happen. But it would be a different kind of war. OTH, nah. Nothing bad will ever happen...... Why England Slept - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Why_England_Slept Why England Slept is the published version of a thesis written by John F. Kennedy in his senior year at Harvard College. Its title is an allusion to Winston Churchill's 1938 book While England Slept, which also examined the buildup of German power.Published in 1940, Kennedy's book examines the failures of the British government to take steps to prevent World War II and its initial lack of ...
  14. but I care about the possibility of war. It's like having excellent arms and legs. Lose one, and you wonder how on earth you took it for granted and never appreciated them. We take so much for granted. Peace, even. So many take it for granted. But in Europe and Asia....most still remember the devastation and horrendous injuries, death and destruction. Too many think they know it can't happen to our America. Too many think the depression was just a stupid tiny blip in distant history. But an economic crash or war would quickly convince them they were wrong. But then it's too late. Btw, it seems the vicious left is trying to make as much of this next generation of kids not believe in anything, except to vote for the left someday, because the left doesn't believe in anything....
  15. the dems would love to have "sharia law" control over America. and America's money.
  16. they dream of having the same power, dominant control, and authority ....so they admire those presidents/etc who have it.
  17. I was saying "there's going to be a war". Desperately hope not. Russia invades the Ukraine - it will be partly because NATA member Germany is in full economic ties with gas and oil, and they refused to let other countries move German equipment to the Ukraine. Sounds like russia has them over a barrel. The other Baltic states are freaking worried, too. Exposed Outpost: Russian Threats to Baltic Security and ... https://voices.uchicago.edu › euchicago › exposed-outpost-russian-threats-to-baltic-security-and-transatlantic-responses Having examined various potential Russian security threats to the Baltic states, namely conventional war, hybrid war, and economic soft power, it is worth focusing in on the role that the EU plays and could play. After all, much of our analysis of Baltic security focused on the NATO capabilities to defend against a Russian invasion. ... then, china is on the rampage - pushing their weight around. If russia makes big moves - and china might move at the same time? world war.
  18. this gov is so corrupt, they know they have create serious crises to cover it all up, and still use the helter-skelter as an excuse to demand more and more authority. More control, more power.
  19. I'm concerned about all of us. Russia/china/designer viruses/inflation/division destroying our country/attacks on everything America..../leftwing schools demanding to teach kids what parents are offended by...why?........ kids do not deserve all this garbage. It's sad.
  20. Reminder - do not drink tea or coffee when reading these kind of posts. LOL
  21. Truth is, some things needed to be said. When a "poster buddy of a mod" tries to ridicule somebody who may or may not? be in a wheelchair... etc etc etc. When two members used his joking around to try to "get" me - I just sneezed in their direction, that's all. I hardly noticed a week went by - our snowblower was so much fun - I did our neighbor's "friends like family" driveway twice in one day. I need more snow. And I started on my second novel, and a true story non-fiction. And we did some beautiful jigsaw puzzles - 1000 pieces. I still have her finding what I spend 15 minutes looking for, and she finds it in one minute. She's profoundly visual. I'm logical, lol. Just amazing. I am thinkin of makin a video. In the planning stage. And I've been reading several of my near complete collection of Hardy Boys novels. Haven't read them for decades. Started work on a new recipe book - using wild edibles added to the usual ingredients. We've been making plans on camping trips in Ohio and out of state. A train ride to Alaska would be fun.... and, been reading seed catalogs - for tomatoes, etc, and wild edibles that aren't plentiful around. And we've been playing cards with our friends. Somehow I keep sitting in the unlucky seat.............................
  22. Just to elaborate comprehensively: Kennard was my third round pick in my stupid mock draft. Perhaps it was stupid...er (more stupid) to some. However......... As I said in a quick note - he was compared to Brandon Scherf, who was a first round pick, 5th overall. So, even if Kennard can't play tackle, that is a great value pick in the third round. There is a huge difference - Scherf entered the NFL, and was quickly moved to OG. The reason is, he does not have the quick feet to play tackle. Reading profiles on him - he does not have the quick feet, nor does he have good lateral movement. Of course he went to OG. But they said Kennard and Scherf "have a similar body type". Ok, but profile after profile - Kennard is absolutely said to have EXCELLENTLY QUICK FEET. https://jetsfansunited.com/pages/kinnard_darian-2/ "Standing at 6'5". 345 pounds, Kinnard is truly an eye-catching draft prospect. He has the reach to swallow up opposing defenders in pass protection. His size and length allows him to work with power. He has surprising mobility and exceptional ability to open space with his fast feet is able to climb to the second level. Darian is explosive out of his stance, and he can close ground quickly. He possesses enough short range burst to adjust for stunts and his recovery athleticism allows him to make up lost ground. D.K. is a fun athlete, but his athletic upside is further compounded by some of his operational tendencies. He is an energetic blocker in motion and drive defenders out of plays with relative ease. He has clear fighter mentality in one on one situations and strategically targets arms to negate rushers." *************************** That is NOT Scherff. Not, not, not. *************************** Now, consider Tristan Wirfs. Big man, I think he lost weight for the NFL - plays RT for the Bucs, https://www.nfl.com/prospects/tristan-wirfs/32005749-5237-0129-a756-9a5ceb881ea0 " Overview Right tackle with elite body type and freaky testing potential who might fall victim to elevated expectations based upon traits and Iowa pedigree. He has tremendous core strength and moves smoothly, over-sets and isn't the explosive drive-blocker former Iowa star tackle Brandon Scherff was. Wirfs has tools to handle gap-blocking duties while thriving in outside zone. If Wirfs can learn to play inside out and add a more effective jump-set into his repertoire, he could take a big step forward. Consistency of play could take some time, but he has the ability to become a good starter at either right tackle or guard. " ********************************* So, he is amazing for a big man - doesn't have the explosive drive blocking....that Kennard has. I think he is more like Scherff, right there. ********************************* Now - I have always been amazed by Andrew Whitworth. Big man. Was drafted by the Bengals in the second round. Was a tackle in college - but started at OG. amd was put in as a LT because of injuries, and thrived. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Whitworth "Whitworth was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round (55th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut on special teams September 10 at Kansas City. He started at left guard in his second game, September 17 against the Cleveland Browns, as part of a line shuffle where left guard Eric Steinbach replaced injured Levi Jones at left tackle. Whitworth helped the Bengals pile up 481 yards against Browns, including 145 rushing yards by Rudi Johnson. He was in the starting lineup for the remainder of the season, in part due to the number of injuries that depleted the Bengals' offensive line. On November 12 vs. the San Diego Chargers, he helped the offense produce a season-high 545 yards and career-high 440 yards passing from Carson Palmer. He also had a key block on Rudi Johnson's seven-yard touchdown run in first quarter. " ************************************* Finally, I read up on Andrew Whitworth some more: it wasn't easy to find - https://sportsforecaster.com/nfl/p/38625/Andrew_Whitworth " Scouting Report A bulldozer in the running game. Has great size and even better attitude. A high-character, hard working player who gets the most out of his size and talent. Has problems picking up speedier defenders. Needs to work on his positioning. Lacks fluidity and explosiveness. Not very fast and is only average athletically." ********************************************************* SO - Whitworth plays LT for the Rams, was a tackle for the Bengals, and he is said to have a lack of fluidity and explosiveness. Then, I go back to Kennard....I believe he will play tackle in the NFL. Or, with his fast feet etc, he could be an All-pro OG. The Browns want to be a running team first - you need a guy to dominate the los and blow DL's off the line. That is Kennard. Like I mentioned, I think a 345 lb guy could lose 15 lbs easily. He should. I think....I believe he would be a huge OL steal in the third round. btw: wouldn't you love to have THIS guy blocking for our running backs? lol
  23. I'm curious - seemed that McDowell had turned his life around. Must be those crime movies - but I wonder if he went to a party, and some thugs wanted him to fund some crook enterprise, he doesn't go for it, so they spike his drink and end his career, setting him up as an example? There was a movie about that once.... or, he just deliberately partied his career away all by himself. Just a thought. lol DL then WR, or WR then DL.... decisions, decisions.
  24. Except I think the Browns don't have a dynamic get open wr vs man to man. I've read where not even Landry has trouble getting open man to man all too often, depending on the match-up. Burrow and Chase were a dynamic combination vs top cb's who went in the first round of the NFL draft. Chase make them frustrated. The Browns MUST have that wr. FA/draft - they will fix it. The addition of Ja'Marr Chase to the Bengals is like the addition of Stephon Diggs to the Bills. If all you need is a great qb to "raise the level of play"... Chase would not have been a huge addition to their offense. Stephon Diggs was not happy with the Vikings. He wanted a new start elsewhere. If you look at the depth chart - in 2019 - they had: Stephon Diggs. by far their best wr. Adam Thielen - who was undreafted. Chad Beebe - undrafted and Olabisi Johnson - who was a 7th round pick. That makes it really tough for Diggs - amazingly only a fifth round pick - to be successful. Now, Diggs has Emmanuel Sanders and Beasley to get attention away from him right off the bat, along with Allen taking off and running. If the Browns had Chase - Landry and Peoples-Jones (and Schwartz stretching the field?) would make them pay, and Chase would then have a field day. The Browns offense would roll. The running game would open up like crazy. The Browns went to the playoffs with obj being a big distraction - with no obj (or obj pretending to be "injured" etc... Mahomes and Allen would have been frustrated to the max if they had been with the Browns. Just what I think - we'll see next season.
