  1. I didn't see the game yesterday - and won't see many unless it's a nationally televised game as I have recently moved and finally dumped DirecTV. Simply looking at the stats and seeing the highlights, it looks like Freddie and company came in with a solid game plan all the way around, and more importantly, the players played really well.

As for the original question? I'm guessing it's a matter of both with more weighting on the Browns being 'fixed'..... a rookie HC, a 2nd year QB ( who when compared to Tom or Aaron is barely holding his own head up, much less crawling, walking or eating solid food) and a roster full of young dudes that  just don't know how to expect to win...... yet.

So far they are right where I expected them to be..... some good, some bad, some great and some awful, all equaling a competitive team that finds ways to hurt itself a little more than it does to help itself.

Baring injuries or suspensions, the Browns should at the very least be in the talk of the playoff hunt well into late December.

  2. Take away all of the ridiculous, absurd and ludicrous off season hype and expectations, and I would think that every single person here would be absolutely stoked with a chance to get to 2-2 with a share of the division lead all while beating the ratturds in less than 24hrs.

Some of you need to stop reading, listening to and watching "sports talk" shit shows and remember that this team is still measured in months when talking about how long they are removed from being a 1-31 team.

If they put together 4 good quarters of football tomorrow, then I look forward to clicking on the several "Browns are going to the SB" threads.............

  3. I'll have to go back and watch, but I don't recall seeing Freddie change Baker's launch point in the second half...... just pass play after pass play watching Baker drop straight back while the bulls chased him right up the middle.

Freddie's play calling is simply awful. Those last 4 offensive play calls were straight out of an 8yr old playing Madden.

Some people are simply uncoachable...

I was busy moving into a new home and getting my previous home of 29yrs ready to rent. Monday's game was the first snap I've seen of Browns football this year........ but I eventually found a way into the Tavern.

Now to see if I can do it again.

Recently had to take a driver safety course for work. All employees with company cars are required to complete it every 2 years. They gave some distracted driver stats that were shocking. One that stuck with me is that if you are on the phone even HANDS FREE your reaction time is reduced to that of someone at 0.08 blood alcohol level. Texting etc obviously makes that number far worse.

Last mother's day I was stopped at a red light in my truck and was rear ended by an uninsured, texting driver doing 38mph at impact. Had I have been on a bike, I wouldn't have even known what hit me.

After I got out of my truck and he his car, I grabbed him by the throat and was milliseconds away from going to jail when I heard his 18 month old son crying in the rear seat and I instantly came down to earth again...... luckily the kid was in a car seat and was OK.

I can't believe how fucking stupid the human species is..... all ages. I live in an area where there are 100s of miles of 2 lane 60mph roads with only a painted line separating the lanes and if I pass 10 cars, at least 3 of them were looking down to the right as we passed at 120mph and a whopping 8ft apart........... God I hate people.

As I've said before, I'm still just puzzled a bit at this one. Let's be real, Hunt can and will be an upgrade to the back-up over DJ. But with this offense and style of play, a guy like Duke especially weeks 1-8 seemed like such a great piece of the puzzle.

Nothing but love though, best of luck to the man.

I'm guessing that he was still a bit of an issue in the locker room. If he was truly that unhappy, then I doubt he was able to successfully hide it all of the time..... Good player on the field that the Browns never seemed to figure out how to fully use correctly - but if he wanted out, then he needed to go.
