  1. Yea since 2020 some places don't even take cash, including the browns stadium. Most bars will, bartenders prefer cash tips - but some hipster bars in the hipster neighborhoods are also card only. For cash, I think you're better off just getting it from ATMs - the exchange rate is usually as good as it gets. The areas mentioned are very safe to walk around, I would not expect to encounter any issues. After gameday pub, probably the flats east bank for younger crowd - otherwise, i don't think there really is a particular one. It would be a place on W 6th or the east bank though. My recommendations: - Hang around E. 4th, Cordelia has some pretty unique and good food. Butcher and brewer has one of my favorite beers (Albino Stout, don't recommend the food anymore) that I've never quite had anything like before. Catch a comedy show at HIlarities. For a high quality steak, I think Redd is about the best in the city (but $$$). Mabel's fatty brisket is quite good too (with a unique cleveland-style bbq sauce - made with the stadium mustard and some other things, they also serve albino stout there iirc) - Masthead or Saucy Brew Works for some good beer and pizza - Saturday only at lunch time you can get some good dim sum in Asia town - People rave about astoria for mediterranean, but I've never been there. The other places you mentioned, no problem really - they're all good. There's no shortage of good breweries in Cleveland these days. I haven't been to Great Lakes in awhile but the food is kinda meh - but worth the visit for some Christmas Ale and just since it's probably the biggest brewery in Cleveland. Mainly just don't miss E 4th, if I had to pick one place over there to eat it'd be Cordelia. Also stroll through public square to checkout the Christmas lights, they do a very nice job with that. --- Also if you want to get a hard to get american bourbon to take back home, you can probably get one on a Saturday (like, 9am or before) at a Giant Eagle liquor store. Ohio is one of the places you can do that, since everything is allocated here.
  2. I disagree on browns o-line barely top 10, pretty sure when you look around the league they are a top unit. Even with big thanos and the backup LT. It’s an astronomically better unit than the Jets of last year and even this year. Pretty sure they grade closer to top 5 than top 10 on pff. Naturally the weakest spot has been the tackles though. I think Wills comes off IR soon, maybe next week? They could help a little. Most QBs are playing behind worse lines than the browns this year, though.
  3. I think some of Moore’s best games in NY came with Flacco. Jets fans don’t have very fond memories of Flacco though, most I’ve heard from think he can do well with a better o-line though. And maybe a better offensive coach, seeing the dumpster fire that the jets offense continues to be
  4. While people are correctly skeptical of 38 y/o Joe Flacco returning to 2012 form, it’s important to remember that it’s hard to be worse than DTR and Walker have been. While we like DTR, he is not at the level of an nfl starter. Can Flacco average better than a 55 QBR, almost certainly id say.
  5. I believe Joe will probably be refreshing to watch on some plays, he will actually make the correct reads and throw downfield - which as much as I like DTR, is not something he’s doing well (yet). The main question mark is his pocket mobility these days, in a clean pocket I’m sure he’d be able to make all the throws, but that’s rarely the case in the NFL - need the awareness and footwork to navigate the bodies.
  6. I think the record for passing touchdowns in a half is 6, Flacco will easily break it in each half with 8 and 7 respectively- to match his number 15
  7. To nobody’s surprise, DTR still in protocol so
  8. Ertz is going to want to join the Ravens, want to jump to a contender and Andrews injury opened up some playing time. Will be sad for him when Flacco knocks the ravens out of the playoffs.
  9. Also according to AVP today he thinks Flacco arm strength is a 5/5 and he has elite footwork and accuracy in practice. 457 yd/5 TD performance incoming
  10. That’s just a reality of the modern day NFL, they want the extra attention and spotlight after a play. teams do have varying levels of discipline though, used to hear about it from Cleveland hotels. Some teams all come down for breakfast at 8am sharp together dressed business casual, some like the Marvin Lewis bengals mosy down throughout the morning in sweat pants and white T’s Theyre celebrity athletes though so you need to be pretty lax on the discipline usually. Otherwise you lose the team like Urban Meyer
  11. I think Flacco can win a lot of games for the browns actually, but it may not be that pretty. At the least, he won’t turn it over that much and he’ll give us a deep threat which we haven’t had without Watson. Flacco at his current state can give us average, which is better than what we’ve had all season long (except for some Watson games)
  12. Flacco elevated, Flacco taking first team reps. I think getting out of the concussion protocol after 1 week almost never happens (for DTR) Looks like we’ll be seeing Joe Flacco with PJ Walker backing him up Sunday. Get ready for a lot of running back checkdowns, a quarterback that plants a tent in the pocket, and the occasional bomb into double coverage for a rogue pass interference
  13. For DTR and Flacco I'd say...yes The practice reps for the rams would be significantly different for those 2 quarterbacks. How much it matters is another matter, it might mean the rams are underprepared for one of the options - it might mean they spent all week practicing containing a mobile quarterback and now all that practice time was wasted. In practice how much does it actually impact things with pro teams, idk - but even for the 0.01% advantage might as well keep it tight lipped. Though to be fair for Walker it does not matter, he is absolute shit. DTR may clear concussion protocol and start but I think that's pretty rare to do in a week, so I assume they are preparing for Flacco anyway
  14. Probably, if it’s DTR the rams have to consider the running threat and designed runs. If it’s Flacco they have to force a lot of pressure and quick releases to prevent the deep balls being accurate. If it’s walker then the defense can just take the week off. I think when they are in berea everything gets leaked anyway, maybe they are more quiet since they are in California and it won’t get leaked as easily. Stefanski said as much before when he announced DTR the starter after Watson injury “why are you announcing it now?”… “because you guys already reported it”
  15. If Joe Flacco makes Lamar Jackson cry in the playoffs he will get a statue in Cleveland
  16. If they elect to go with walker they need to get some pine tar on that man’s gloves.
  17. Also most people misunderstand the browns cap situation. There was a good explainer on it, don’t know where it is off hand. Basically Jimmy is outspending pretty much every team in the league and the way they restructure contracts lets them basically leverage the future cap, which typically is expected to increase. it’s why the browns had the most cap space in the league or close to it this year, and they will likely also have that next year when they push more cap into the future. The draft picks are sad to lose yea, but the money spent does not jeopardize the browns future like some people thing it does. There was some good article that I can’t find now that went over how the browns leveraged the future cap with their restructuring strategies. Basically allows them to consistently outspend the cap, and something other NFL teams could do - why they don’t do it? Probably because their owners don’t wanna spend as much money as jimmy currently is willing to Basically they pay the players as expected, but they can elect to spread the cap impact out over future years beyond the contract. That works as long as the nfl keeps increasing the cap ceiling (which they will)
  18. McLeod had some really bad plays when Thornhill was out, one giving up a touchdown iirc. Just a total misread in the wrong direction. Will miss the depth, but not a game changer or anything,
  19. If he gets us to the promised land in the next 3 years it’ll be regarded as the best trade ever in Cleveland just I’d too early to make a determination, got a few years left before we can judge the outcome
  20. They only call it the worst in history given the allegations, people desperately want it to be. so far it hasn’t worked out…but not because Watson isn’t a good player, just because of suspension and injury. Too early to judge
  21. Jeez. I’m not watching the game but dobbs 4 interceptions? Maybe we aren’t missing much
