  1. Tbh, wonder bar is nothing special - stop in for a beer maybe. Cordelia and Mabels are definitely worth hitting though.
  2. DTR is what you’d expect from a late round rookie, some raw talent and potential. As-is, he can’t throw downfield - like at all, and struggles to make progressions at NFL speed. He may beat the odds and become a QB1 someday, he may be a serviceable QB2 for many years, or he may bounce around a bit and out of the league. Flacco had a back breaking pick, in an otherwise solid game throwing downfield more than any browns QB in the past 5 years. Flacco is the guy if the browns want to make a playoff push this year (they do) DTR is the guy if the browns wanna fold the season and focus on developing their young guys. Flacco looked surprisingly vintage, the age may catch up to him down the stretch but you have to roll with it while it’s working.
  3. Yea I get that he’s not supposed to be a star, we miss the depth I just don’t think it’s game changing depth. However, right on about Delpit - and Thornhill for that matter. Delpit got burned out of position at least a couple times (including Steelers TD in first matchup). Our safeties in general have really struggled for some reason, perhaps beneficiaries of a top pass rush and solid corner play in some games to mask the issues a bit.
  4. The reports are not incorrect but they are misleading. Flacco was on practice squad and players automatically revert back to the practice squad after a game when called up. Just a rule thing, browns didn’t send him back down - he’ll be called up again or given a full time roster spot.
  5. I think the Cooper hit was clean, bad luck. The receiver room is pretty weak, but the situation isn't extremely dire - we still have some guys we can get the ball to. I'm surprised Bell seems to be at the bottom of the depth chart, he seems to get open and have reliable hands. Flacco showed he can spread the ball around and find some targets, they just gotta catch the ball. For defense, I think people are over-rating McLeod. Some of those huge touchdown plays we gave up were solely because he was out of position (like in the game Thornhill missed). In general, our safeties have been completely lost when we play zone. Looks like it's gonna be a rainy day in Cleveland on Sunday, so we may not miss cooper all that much anyway if he doesn't clear protocol. In the cold and windy Cleveland rain, I think Flacco will be able to manage the game well though. edit: We also have Goodwin, who should be back this week? Hopefully
  6. I mean, they are a good team - but losing at home when they are missing their firepower would be quite sad still. I agree on da bears who are playing for draft position, but not the Texans - they are breathing down our necks in the playoff seeding, that may end up being one we need to go all out in depending on how the next 2 weeks go.
  7. If they lose to a jags team without their QB and Christian Kirk, at home, then that would be truly sad.
  8. The bengals going into prevent defense with a 2 minute drill and backup letting them easily drive down the field. Didn’t know joe woods got a job in Cincinnati Also Zac Taylor called a timeout for the jaguars? wtf was that
  9. Trevor Lawrence is down with what looks potentially serious, hate to see it because (1) don’t wanna see anyone get hurt and (2) would prefer the browns beat them with no asterisks attached.
  10. Every week makes no sense in the NFL, bengals showed up to play. Jags defense looks very pedestrian though, flacco can cook them.
  11. He’s on the practice squad because they go back by default when they are called up if they aren’t signed to the roster. The twitter thing is a non-story, happened to Walker too between his first couple starts
  12. And Jake Browning is the perfect QB for the bengals draft pick. If it’s not wide open dude will just stand there until they sack him.
  13. Joe will get Ws against Jacksonville, Chicago, Houston. Lose to Jets who will get a scripted win for Aaron Rodgers return story. Then we follow up with a 5 game win streak after the jets to end the season
  14. Flacco really was calling moores number more than anyone this year, great catch. Was also nice to see guys like Harrison Bryant and Jordan Akins get some passes their way. Too bad our receivers kinda suck though
  15. He’s like a 75 overall in October, and becomes a 99 by January - on the madden scale before those games sucked. Hopefully we get to see the postseason version of Flacco this year
  16. Well Flacco proved he can satisfy the “just give us average qb play and we win the Super Bowl crowd” let’s see if they are right 😁 turns out the biggest issue may be the inability to play zone defense not the QB… I’m not too worried, the browns always suck historically on west coast trips. I think this team is better than the Jags, overall especially at home.
  17. NFL players can receive workers comp, it varies by the state the team is in though. Workers comp replaces lost wages though, which Watson doesn’t have given he is fully guaranteed and not losing paychecks. It also covers medical bills, but I’m sure the browns foot the bill for everything too - plus they have their in-house rehab and doctors. But since Watson isn’t losing wages he’s not eligible to receive workers comp. Outside of the medical bills, which I’m sure is covered anyway by the browns.
  18. Flacco made one boneheaded decision in an otherwise great outing. Keep it rollin’ - the late decision and not looking at the safety is the rust, I’d question the play call to go verticals there but maybe the coaches saw something. I know there’s a DTR vs Flacco debate bound to ramp up this week, it’ll be Flacco. DTR is a late round rookie project, the browns have more urgency to win now than develop him. No hate for DTR, he is what he is - a late round project with a high upside. They have no rush to develop him, since they have Watson for the next few years. Joe looked like he was having fun out there, you can tell the guy loves playing the game.
  19. Packers are a young team that’s gelling and improving as the season goes on, good coaching with young talent. The chiefs are extremely overrated this year. That offense is not the same as it was with tyreek and a younger kelce
  20. Also I hate they traded DPJ for a 6th, Tillman is not getting it done like the browns thought.
  21. I’d feel better about the season if Flacco plays like he did the rest of the way. Sure he made a bone headed int, but that’s kinda classic Flacco. He did more than enough to win. The fingers need to be pointed at the other units that contributed to the loss really. still in the playoffs, didn’t gain anything. Beat the jags at home and it’ll be all hype again with how hot and cold fans are. Theres no god damn way this team is losing to the jets or bengals. And very likely not to the bears too. Texans and jags very winnable as well
  22. Are people still ranting about baker 😂 He had a shit game against the panthers who are probably the worst team this year, outplayed by Flacco.
  23. Btw, how do you watch the browns abroad? I will be in Istanbul for the 2 games you’re here for- Texans and jets.
