  1. I guess you can say, (takes glasses off), all he contracted was disappointment.

A lot of interesting sources on what the appeals process is looking like. I thought the "indefinite" suspension what a show move all along and this would quietly (as possible) get reduced down a bit.
  3. ...anywho. Freddie made game losing decisions in several games this year, and was poorly out coached. It's clear there's not enough discipline on the team, but I don't think Freddie has "lost" these guys, which is where it's time to throw in the towel and start the search for a new HC. Honestly, with all that craziness going on it's endearing a bit that this hasn't happened. I thought coaching improved for the Steelers game, to include significantly better play calling/schemes (tia had some good write-ups about the personnel). Despite my complaints, I always thought Kitchens deserved the year. I hope to continue to see that improvement.
  4. Definitely the time (of course, on top of winning) to root for those wonky losses for teams ahead. Bengals v Steelers, Jets v Raiders, etc. Even one of those teams taking a "bad loss" makes the odds better. Just wish we had that damn Denver game back-only one that really sticks in my craw. 5-5 with that win, and the schedule we have would be sitting pretty strong.
  5. Never forget this dude got offered roughly a $30 million contract with $15 million or so guaranteed (which we gave to Kenny Britt, yikes). Rookies in the league should be offered his case as a lesson on understanding your value relative to your career.
  6. What do you think of Justin Burris? I thought he's played very well actually.

The pregame fox guys are making som extremely level headed points about the situation that I totally agree with. its really interesting to see how many actual football dudes are defending Myles, of course not for what he did but the dude himself and why it happened.

    Look, I'm just saying I don't disagree: https://sports.theonion.com/nfl-rescinds-myles-garrett-suspension-after-review-foot-1839896771?utm_content=Main&utm_source=Facebook&utm_campaign=SF&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&fbclid=IwAR2HGIJTz2N_sW8eC1njL2lbDsTAQv7X1MCT-nETbyH0PuEPa5Ofra4fxvg&fbclid=IwAR3YnzXvgnqQZhNt1yJXTeFbDG8pA1CIxN4UOqLal6ZXsITPSW5xMQwmBu4&fbclid=IwAR3h-62NzynQGaOrNf9DcjtoUJUSNGKXxUQzu2QGJZ01Kqjvc6PmVpsdKbU
  9. If only we had an extremely promising 2nd year player who flashed as a rookie. Could you imagine how nice that would be? Sigh.

I'd be a bit surprised if he misses time next year. They used the word "indefinite" to sound as tough as possible, and is the easiest manner to automatically rule him out of any playoff games if it gets there. Pouncey was totally fine standing up for his QB, but the kicks while Garrett was on the ground probably iced his 3 games. All you can hope is that the literal millions Garrett sees going down the shitter wises the man up.

I mean, the NFL had to do this the way they did. This is the main line on every major news outlet and would continue to be until they made a decision. Only reason it's indefinite is if the squad makes the playoffs. Adrian Peterson beat his kid and only had to sit out a year. What a nightmare this season has ended up being, wow.
  12. For sure. I said all along Baker is a huge, huge momentum guy. I can see him feasting next week.

Gut feeling is they'll go 6 and will get reduced to four. Can't we just be like OSU when a star DE goes out we just replace them with a 5 star recruit? 😃
  14. For reference, last three games 62.5% completion, 6 total TDS, no turnovers. Last two game QBR were 74 and 73, respectively (which is where the leaders in the NFL are at typically, or close). Definitely encouraging.

He's definitely known to be a douche from his days at OK state. So much so it was part of his "draft profile" as a con. I mean seriously, look at the dude. You don't present yourself that way if you don't want to be known that way. I have no clue if what I'm saying is right. I absolutely agree even if it proves to be 100% true something like that was said, Garrett deserves everything coming to him. I'm just trying to wrap my head around what made him snap this badly, right or wrong.

Trust me, I agree and that's what I noted in my original comment in the thread. We'll see how it shakes out, but it just doesn't make logical sense to me how the man went insane like that not strongly provoked, at least moreso than any other typical scrum.

An open hand shot to the helmet is not the same and you know it. Hell, if I dug hard enough I bet you could find that happening 2-3 in this game alone. Freddie said after the game Garrett told what Mason said and that it wasn't able to be repeated. You don't do what Garrett did unprovoked. Rudolph was a known douche at OK State. I'm not going to say he said or didn't say anything, I don't know. But given how that shit went down, I'm not going to be surprised at all if it turns out he dropped a slur.
  18. Not saying you feel this way, but looking back on that throw I'm fine with it. You see a defender clearly with his back turned it's very likely incomplete, at best caught or DPI. Best comment I saw about it was that if Russell Wilson makes that throw people would be chanting MVP.

I mean there's no reason a player would think he's not doing that intentionally, and homie did kick him the groin. He's not a choir boy here. Honestly, Mason looks, acts, and talks like a frat bro who would say "you can fight me but my dad's a lawyer". Just being real here, I wouldn't be surprised if he (rudolph) said something racial or otherwise crossed the line. It just doesn't make sense to me why Myles would go from pissed to berserker mode. Not in his bag of tricks. As I said though, he deserves whatever is coming to him.

I'm so upset with some of these responses, man. Let's put this in a different, but similar context. Bar fight breaks out and a dude shoves you. In response, you take a knife out and stab the guy. Do you really think in that situation both dudes are equally at fault, or deserve the same punishment? Of course not. Not a soul out there is saying Garrett should of done nothing and just said "gee willickers mister, maybe next time!". Shit like that scuffle happens 5+ times a game. You grab his shit back, talk some mad shit, and maybe even shove the man a little. You don't take his helmet and swing at his head. That's reckless, stupid, and damaging to the team. Baker is going to have a target on his back in two weeks in Pittsburgh. We lost our best defensive player for the year all but likely. This shit is inexcusable and what I teach as a "non-negoitable" mistake. He'll get a chance to play again, but it can't happen and it can't be condoned by fans or teams alike.
  21. But were wrong, but that’s like saying a guy who shoved someone In a bar fight should be tried the same as the dude who pulled a knife. Dramatic but Rudolph’s antics were no more than late game choppiness. honestly, it makes me wonder if mason dropped a racial slur or something? I just don’t get wtf would make him go ape shit there. No excuses fellas, that’s beyond dirty.
  22. Garrett is missing several games for that, with 5 second left in a meaningless game. pouncey is gone several games too.
  23. Illegal contact was weak as shit but refs are always looking for it against a team with a rough hit like that. Agree on the coaching that’s for sure.
