  1. You can literally see in the dudes demeanor he thinks a uniform makes him tough. Big man can yell at a college kid with a Gatorade but a smack on the butt makes him cry victim? Big, big man.
  2. I’m sorry, but I reallllly don’t feel bad about a blow hard shitty security guard hassling black kids about something and getting a tap on the ass for being a prick for no reason. The cops before this video have come out and admitted they said the cigars were okay. Why the hassle? amazingly Joe Burrow said he wasn’t told to stop smoking his cigar but this dude before OBJ slaps him is getting hassled like he has a gun. Should he have done it? Nah. Do I give a remote amount of a shit? Nah.
  3. My worry is that he’d seemingly be coming here for a paycheck. I’d HAPPILY take him over Wilks though.
  4. While they may be much to do about nothing, it’s still pretty hard at face value to not dislike and scoff the general idea. It’s a really bad look for an owner who literally has been the worst in the NFL in figuring this out, so far anyway. At face value Haslam wanting this just sounds dumb and another feather to the cap of someone who has no clue what to do. im fine with the hire though. McDaniels is obviously a needy bitch and that attitude loses locker rooms fast. But to be Honest if this doesn’t work the NFL should seriously consider stepping in and hiring a league mandated GM. Last straw for me with the Haslams
  5. I’ll admit I didn’t read each line here carefully, so pardon. But I’m just absolutely out of my mind baffled people continue like OP continue to assume rushing minded offense isn’t the answer. The top four regular season rush offenses are in the divisional round. Outside of KC, all are top half of the league. It’s really common sense, holding the ball and scoring on the ground leads to success. This has been true season after season in a so called “passing league”.
  6. I see outside linebacker as a bigger concern, if I’m being honest. Our line played a median level all year and were asked to hold long ass blocks for down field throws. I agree with others that a game more conducive to bakers skill set? This line after week 5 (when 1/2 were injured) is easily a top 10 unit. im fine with them drafting/targeting a tackle (either side) to shore things up though.
  7. Depending how the coach situation turns out I like the idea of Hurts in day two. I think Baker would enjoy having an OU dude on the roster and Hurts, if anything, is clearly a leave it on the field guy. Watching Taysom Hill and Lamar (although totally agree he’s not the same to Jackson) really makes you wonder how Hurts could look as QB2.
  8. I’m not saying I disagree with anyone, but I’d love to hear what was actually said too. Fan conduct is often completely over the line unacceptable and I don’t blame players for saying a line or two back. Had a dude like this at a dolphins game who literally was yelling at a Pats player using his wife’s and kids names. Easy to look at a snippet and assume, I suppose. point is I care 1000 times more about his play on the field if it comes with this. If dude is ballin out there, this stuff doesn’t bother me at all.
  9. I’m fine with Mike. I’m so weary to this process that the only thing I want for sure is a coach who’s done this shit for a while at least at a coordinator level. I’m glad real a guy like Rhule didn’t want to interview. He may be the next great guy, but the Browns don’t need that. We need someone who can come in and knows how to set the tone. Mike easily could do that.
  10. One thing I like to think about with draft is where there will be a “glut” of talent at a position that simply won’t get drafted where they should. this year to me is WR. The three dudes from Alabama could all easily be 1st round picks. Jefferson from LSU is a monster. Perhaps someone like Tee Higgins could slip and easily has a first round grade. The WR core at USC is also exceptional. I think there’s gonna be a steal in the 3rd round or so, and we have a hole in the 3rd/4th WR slot.
  11. Nah man, you don’t get it. You see it’s been McDaniels this WHOLE time has made the GOAT quarterback look good. Tommy obviously would have been just another scrub without Josh propping him up. Of course, completely agree with you.
  12. Leads me to believe the coach Haslam wants has made it clear they won’t work with Dorsey. two years of getting the most talent the Browns ever had only to be canned for it. This organization is cursed.
  13. Theres more talent on this team, by far, than there has ever been since 1999. Dorsey took a team that won ONE game over two years and infused this level over two years. man got enticed by the McVey mania and thought he had the next guru. He swung and missed and everyone knew it. But to say he needs to go too is just insane. A competent coach EASILY has this team at 9-7 or better. but yeah, let’s can the best GM we’ve ever had in year two because he messed up a 2nd round pick.
  14. Appreciate the subtle ness of that. but tend to agree with the general sentiment. This move seems like they have a guy in mind and wanted to make the job available absolutely ASAP. That or they though Freddie was going to steal footballs on the way out.
  15. if this team was in a rebuild and Freddie could grow into the job, he deserved year two. This team going into next year is way too talented for that to be true though. Most importantly though, Kitchens just didn’t get it. This game today he was still making the same mistakes from week one. Ron Rivera checks off every box for me, I really hope they can lure him in for a look.
  16. Baker is fiercely loyal to Oklahoma and players who went through the program. I’m definitely projecting but this is the dude who still talks shit about high school games. I easily see Baker loving having a fellow sooner as his #2.
  17. It’s the last week of the season and Freddie cost the browns two critical timeouts by not getting the play call in on time. You either get it or you don’t. Freddie doesn’t.
  18. Baker makes some poor decisions, but man this offensive scheme is set up for him to fail too.
  19. On the other side of that game, I’d be an early big fan of taking a flyer on jalen hurts even if we have to reach a bit. I think he’d be really creative in our offense and obviously have an instant rapport with Baker. Something about that dude I like a lot, a poor mans lamar in a lot of ways.
  20. Comparing situations in college football and the nfl is apples to oranges. Steve spurrier is honestly IMO one of the most overrated coaches in college football history too, if I’m being honest. Also, the man hasn’t coached in 20 or more years. look, I’m not going to change your mind but there’s a reason obj and several other players were barking at Freddie. I’d bet my literal house though what I’m saying would be the sentiment of the overwhelming majority of nfl head coaches
  21. The reason is extremely simple. Football is the biggest momentum sport in the world, nothing even comes close. When you kick the extra point, it’s a one score game with 7 minutes left. the defense comes out with a pep. The crowd gets into it. An offense, even as good as Baltimore, has that thought in the back of their mind every time they call a play. It’s as simple of a coaching decision there is to make really. I’m not trying to sound harsh to you but again, no competent coach ever takes the early 2 pt attempt. Like ever.
  22. Yes, it is. I don’t disagree but not going for two is a decision a high school coach wouldn’t have chewed on. i guarantee if you polled 100 coaches 99 say kick the extra point. The only one who wouldn’t coaches this team.
  23. OBJ is rightly calling out shitty coaching decisions that have repeatedly cost this team a season.
  24. Freddie not taking the extra point there should be shown on repeat if he gets canned. The talent on this team is so evident, but coaching just brings it down. no excuse. edit: OBJ knows it too.
  25. Not stopping the play when you throw a flag like that is inexcusable. IDC how petty that is, several browns players stopped when they saw it.
