Vintage Browns Photofest Thread...

I've got a few old (circa '64), B&W from the Plain Dealer I'll scan and post...if I can find my old, scrapbook...), but for now I'll go with this one from a current article about the brewing resurrection of a CLE-CIN rivalry.

If anyone remembers any  of my posts, then they should remember that I am a huge Jerry Sherk fan.

That's my guy already driving on the other side of the LOS as the ball is hitting Ken Anderson's hands. Even I forgot how quick in his prime Jerry was out of the blocks.... and you gotta love that pad level. Looks positively Aaron Donaldish...

The poor LG is barely out of his stance. I wonder if he knew what hit him?

Nice little summation of Jerry here.... https://www.brownsnation.com/jerry-sherk/

I lost 2 laminated autographed photos of Jerry Sherk & Steve Everitt, to a house fire back in 1995...Everitt's was brand new, after his last season with us.. Yeah! I'm still pissed... 😥

That is Bo. He was the starting fullback when Bill Nelson was QB.

Also next to "unnecessary roughness" in the dictionary.

I will never understand those who take pleasure in one of the cheapest of cheap shots of all time...

... especially when they then bitch about James Harrison with their next breath.

Because the Steelers of that era owned the Browns, and that's all the guys who were fans of those teams have.

One cheap hit that should have gotten him thrown out of the NFL.

in those days it's just a 15 yrd penalty for which he got.

And it was a pretty rare call in those days.
