Just my opinion of the 55 (in bold) that would make up our roster as of today and who I see starting after camp ... Pre rest of draft draft and UDFA periods, of course.

Biggest Draft Needs IMO:

(Follow the One-Year Contracts:)

1. DT (Only Elliot under contract for next year)

2. Edge/DE (Find Garrett's future running mate)

3. WR (always need another Burner)

4. LB (Keep drafting mid round guys until we find the right guy)

6. OL (interior depth)

Zombo

--Not sure we're going to find the edge guy of the future anymore, I would look at a Beefy DT, a flashy WR, and/or a dependable LB as possibilities for our two picks today

Where do we go to shore things up  in rounds  2-3?

I say up the gut of the defense:    DT   MLB.

Plus  OL depth.

Day 2 , and the Browns keep hitting them out of the Park. The Joker is exactly the kind of linebacker we need, speedy, versatile, hard-hitting, can play three downs. Can't really put him in a box, he is a "toy" for the DC to properly utilize. Right now, because of his youth, I'm gonna put him behind Walker and Smith, but those guys are on one-year deals, Joker and Phillips are the future of the position. Not gonna learn his real name, BTW.

Speaking of toys, Anthony Schwartz is a gift to the offense, speedy receiver and ball carrier that will add a "lightning" dimension to our receiving corps right away.

Day 3 of the draft and the Browns did a nice job of adding some beef, and some special teamers. James Hudson is Chris Hubbard jr, and his heir apparent at Swing Tackle. Tommy Toga is some young, athletic beef at the much-needed DT position. Tony Fields is a poor man's JOK and a special teams delight. Richard LeCounte is a ST with posible upside at safety,  and RB/WR Demetric Felton is a Slash weapon and competiton at KR, Jojo Natson and D'ernest Johnson are on notice.

Biggest Draft Needs IMO:

We didn't find a first-day edge rusher, but we only had one pick in the Top 50, and we nailed it at corner. We've got Clowney and Takk for a year, and maybe one of them extends, if not, then Edge moves to the head of 2022 needs ... Start your Mock!

Zombo

--Lot's of chatter about having a special designation for the hybrid S/LB position ... for now, you are one or the other in my chart. I only annoint 11 starters, and I run the basic 4-2-5 on defense. You are free to use your imaginations, there will be extra safeties, extra LBs, and extra corners in different packages, I could break it down into different defensive alignments when we get to the preseason. Obviously, OLB and ILB are generic categorizations, and obviously the 3rd WR (Higgins) and the 2nd & 3rd TEs (NoJoke and Bryant) will get more snaps than the fullback, but I keep that position on the chart as well. But it is a fluid chart, and we are always open to suggestions.

I am thinking that with all that speed that  Anthony Swartz  should be in the mix for  return duties.   I would have to check his college career,  but it just seems a natural that he would be tried out there.

(Why won't this let me change colors?)

I don’t believe (not 100% positive) Schwartz had a role with return duties.

Felton WAS a return guy for UCLA and a very good one at that

Correct on Schwartz... but I can easily see him returning punts. Interestingly at Auburn he had more career rushing TDs than he did receiving.

Felton was a kick returner.. no punts.

The key question we're all here for: Will the nickname Joker refer to Njoku or JOK?

Or the "I can make this pencil vanish" type of Joker?

JOKs teammates  call him  "Wu".    So, maybe we just go with that.

So,  we have  2  M.  Wilsons on the roster.  Maybe we should distinguish them somehow.

Cast Away Wilson the volleyball finally rescued

Marvin is a Defensive Tackle and Mack is a Linebacker that is pretty distinguishing

Great long-form analysis of DE rotation - and reason for how/why Newsome and JOK.

The defense had two big problem spots going into this offseason: Pass rush beyond Myles and the secondary.

The secondary looks to have been fixed.

The other problem area worries me mightily.

cutups of Felton in this clip.. Because of his versatility I think he makes the team in place of either D.Johnson or J.Natson.

if ya Start me up..then I'll never stop 🤓...

If a Gm's goal is to hit on half of his 7 NFL draftees?  Newsome/JOK/Schwartz/Togiai & Felton give Berry a fairly solid chance..

 raw as hell route tree?

He's got some 'coach him up tools' in his toolbox already...

Well we did nothing but send the front 4 and drop everyone back and we asked average guys (outside of Myles  who was doubled and chipped a lot) to win one on ones.

He’s a steal too.  I hope i don’t get killed by saying this there is a little Alvin Kamara in his play.  I was watching some highlights today.  He had some runs and a Kick return where the Kamara shiftiness was apparent.

I didn’t realize he’s not too far from SD here out of Great Oak HS in Temecula.

He’s making the team.

I call it, as I see it... 'born in gifted'... Kamara/Sayers/Sanders have that glide gear that I'm seeing in Felton's highlights too.. these catz have zero fear of high speed collisions

Kill little old me... 🤓 too..
