Trivia Wednesday Longevity

Recommended Posts

Here are just a few trivia questions, all about longevity:

1. IF  Ben Roethlisberger starts at QB  next year for the Steelers  he would break the record for  a QB  who played the longest career  with just one team.  (assuming he never goes to play with another team).    Name the two QBs whose record in that category he would beat.

2. Four  (4)  players  in history  have played their careers of  20 years or longer with just one team.   Name them.     (Note: No QBs obviously)  Hint:  2 were kickers.  2 were not.

3.  Which active Browns player has been with the team  the longest?

4. Besides Ben R.  which  2 other active players in the NFL  have currently been with just one team their entire career for  17 years at this time?

5. Besides the 3 QBs  that  are involved in question  #1....which other  QBs  spent their entire career of  15 years or longer with just one team?     Note:   7 names.

Check, he is one.  21 years.   He is tied with another kicker for staying with one team the longest time.

Here are just a few trivia questions, all about longevity:

Answers:

1. IF  Ben Roethlisberger starts at QB  next year for the Steelers  he would break the record for  a QB  who played the longest career  with just one team.  (assuming he never goes to play with another team).    Name the two QBs whose record in that category he would beat.

John Brodie  49ers and Dan Marino Dolphins.      (Tom Brady had spent 18 years with the Pats...but of course he now plays in Tampa)

2. Four  (4)  players  in history  have played their careers of  20 years or longer with just one team.   Name them.     (Note: No QBs obviously)  Hint:  2 were kickers.  2 were not.

Lou Groza Browns  21 years

Jason Hanson  Lions  21 years

Darrell Green Redskins  20 years

Jackie Slater Rams  20 years.

3.  Which active Browns player has been with the team  the longest?

Joel Bitonio   only 7 years  (this coming season will be 😎

So,  we have Ben R. ,  Brodie, and Marino at  17 years.  also:

Ken Anderson  Bengals  16 years

John Elway  Broncos  16

Steve Grogan Pats   16

Already gave the answer:   Jason Hanson.    And Ray Guy was not a Kicker, he was a Punter.
