Very excellent explanation from takeoff through engine loss and eventual landing of United Flt 328 from Denver to Hawaii with quick turnaround

back to Denver. I was very impressed with the flight controllers giving all control to the pilots to chose their own path back and "make it happen"

on any runway of their choice.

Good thing this didn't happen half way over the Pacific.

If you're halfway, then you don't turn around. My brother talked about that and having the fuel always on board to get you there on one engine at a lower altitude.

He piloted Gulfstream IVs for Netjets.

I thought about that too, one scenario you don't want to live through..... with the emphasis on live. One engine carrying all the weight both ways. Whew !

He's lucky he made it back to Denver, let alone a thousand miles of ocean.
