I was hoping for the blowout so there wouldn't be any question Ohio State deserved to be in the CFP. Remaining undefeated should secure a playoff spot. I meant what I said though about it being nice to see Otto Graham's alma mater in the Big 10 Championship. I think they proved to a lot of people why they deserved to be there. Great coaching well reflected by a team that believes in it via the passion they put on the field. In the end, Ohio State's overall talent (in spite of it being depleted) found a way to help Sermon rush for 331 yards - while the defense forced turnovers and limited NW to 10 points. It's be interesting to see if they oust a team like ND, who played in a Conference Championship Game against a team they beat (albeit w/out Trevor Lawrence in OT) gets ousted because Texas A&M beat Tennessee Volunteers-to-lose. I'm not so sure Ohio State would have beaten Clemson yesterday with the active roster they brought to the Big 10 Championship Game. True, but Bama beat them fairly badly too. Ironically Bama won a NC with a one loss team that barely made it in. I would have hoped ND's loss, that was pretty bad, would have moved them out. You had a guy who carried the rock for 331 yards. A defense that was stout.....all of this while their QB was really out of action with a sprained thumb and who probably should not have been playing. Plus...here is a clue for you: Northwestern is a better team than anyone your team played except Bama. And I did not stutter. Florida perhaps included, but arguable.
