This Week in the AFC North

Recommended Posts

Well, after a nice long stretch, is now obviously time to change TGZ assistants. Sticking with our Covid Streaming TV shows theme, we will go with a star of a show that was actually recently cancelled due to Covid ... GLOW ... and the All-American girl ... Betty Gilpin.

Betty knows her ropes, let's see if she knows her AFC North ... she gets to start off with a short schedule:

Cleveland at Cincinnati, Sunday 1:00 PM

The Browns offense came to a screeching halt last week after putting up 30+ each of the previous four weeks. They should get right back in stride this week, as the Browns overpower the Bungles D behind Kareem Hunt and the running game, and Baker gets back into everyone's good graces with a mistake-free game. Myles Garrett should have some fun too. BROWNS 34 BUNGLES 24

Pittsburgh at Tennessee, Sunday 1:00 PM

Battles of unbeatens in Opryland ... I'm giving the edge to the Tit's Tannehill who is "quietly" having an MVP season, the Steeler D will miss Devin Bush in the middle trying to stop the Derrick Henry train. TITS 29 STEELERS 23

Browns 24 - 17 over the bad OL Bengalis. Baker goes back to running back manager to play keepaway. Myles gets two sacks and multiple hurries.

Pitt   28   Tenn  21 Defense wins football and their is better even without Bush.

Hard to believe it's already Week 7... but enough reflection... there's work to be done.

Pittsburgh       @ Tennessee

(+2.5)

PTG plays somebody. Tough, closely contested game with a home dog.

Prediction: TN 20 PTG 18

... and this week's Daily Double...

Cleveland       @ Cincinnati (+3.5)

Feels like a big bounceback game brewing for our Browns, Baker and the D...

Prediction: CLE 43 CIN 20

The D stunk to high hell today... Let's not excuse they're poor effort... Baker carried this team on his back today.. Yeah.. It was Cincitucky.... But who cares.. When you beat the teams you're supposed to... Thats saying something.. On to Da Waiduhz!

Can't say I saw poor effort... not on the whole anyway.

Lack of talent? Absolutely... in just about every uni not sporting #95.

But even those other unis made an effort and produced some plays and in a couple cases enough where I thought they had decent games, e.g., 21 (Ward) and 28 (Johnson).
