Biggest Steals in the Draft

I wonder if this draft will have someone that will match some of the following......who are/were the biggest steal of a draft:

A.  By far the biggest steal of a draft is to sign a guy that was not drafted, i.e. a UDFA.  And here is a list of Hall of Fame players who meet that criteria.  NOT drafted:

948 Joe Perry FB San Francisco 49ers (AAFC)
1948 Emlen Tunnell DB New York Giants
1951 Jack Butler CB Pittsburgh Steelers
1952 Dick "Night Train" Lane DB Los Angeles Rams
1960 Willie Wood DB Green Bay Packers
1962 Mick Tingelhoff C Minnesota Vikings
1963 Willie Brown DB Houston Oilers (Cut during training camp by Oilers and then signed by Denver Broncos.)
1966 Emmitt Thomas DB Kansas City Chiefs
1967 Larry Little G San Diego Chargers
1970 Jim Langer C Cleveland Browns (Cut by Browns during training camp and then signed by Miami Dolphins.)
1984 Warren Moon QB Houston Oilers
1990 John Randle DT

Minnesota Vikings

i was listening to Iowa's HC Kirk Ferentz on the radio the other day..Ferentz was asked "who he won't miss in the Big 10 after this draft class?..

"Simple..Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor..it just seems like, I've watch that kid blow by nfl draftee's at 4.3 speed for like 6 years" 🤣

As a Buckeye fan... Amen, Kirk Ferentz!

I remember my dad, wanting RB Emmitt Smith coming out of Florida...  JT has all those tools imo..Good Luck & GoodBye!

I guess you can never have too many "Steals" threads...

Started thinking about my own list rather than Bleachers. In no particular order...

  • Jalen Hurts - QB, OU... the more I look, the more I see Dak 2.0...
  • Anthony McFarland - RB, Maryland... fast and quick.. good receiver...
  • Devin Duvernay - WR, Texas... almost uncoverably quick... extremely productive.
  • Shane Lemieux - IOL, Oregon... made for our ZBS.
  • Matt Peart - OT, UConn... I believe I may have mentioned him before.
  • Khalil Davis - IDL, Nebraska... quick disruptor...
  • Jabari Zuniga - Edge, Florida... strong  for his size, if can improve his "get-off", he's going to be really good.
  • Troy Dye - OLB, Oregon... has the speed, needs to get a little stronger.
  • Malik Harrison - LB, tOSU... I keep seeing him as a Mike... and a good one with thump and surprising coverage skill.
  • JR Reed - FS, UGA... good size... decent speed... needs work on tackling, but otherwise the skill set is pretty well complete.
