Check on Phipps and Couch.    No on the others you mention, Plum, Ninowski, Dawson.

Three other names left.

Here is today's Trivia Question:

Since the Browns began drafting with the NFL in 1950, they have selected  8 Quarterbacks in the first round of the draft.

Name these 8 QBs.

Answers:

1952  Harry Agannis *

1954  Bobby Garrett*   #1 overall

1970  Mike Phipps

1999 Tim Couch #1 overall

2007 Brady Quinn

2012 Brandon Weeden

2014 Johnny Manziel

2018 Baker Mayfield  #1 overall

Note:  Baker Mayfield need to throw for  3580 yards this year to take over as leader for the most yards thrown by a Browns first round draft pick **  currently held by Tom Couch who had 11,131 yards in his career.

* Neither Agannis nor Garrett even threw for one yard as a Cleveland Browns QB.  Agannis chose to play baseball instead, and Garrett was traded to like Green Bay before the regular season of his rookie season began.  He played in all of 9 NFL games.

** The above does not include Bernie Kosar, who was taken as the #1 overall pick in the 1984 Supplemental Draft.   This thread could, obviously, conceivably include Bernie, as the Browns did trade their first round pick for him  (in fact, they may have trade  2 first round picks...have to check on that).  It is just that for purposes of this, I was only including QBs taken in the regular draft.

Free to merge.  Thanks.

Ok how about our old Vinny Barbarino Testaverde ?

Yes, 😁Vinny was a good dude who went on to put up some big #'s and had super longevity. He played until he was 44! Crazy. Unheard of back then.

Earl Campbell

Bo Jackson?

Jameis?
