I don’t know about best bet.  We are talking  Talking about Daniel Snyder and the Redskins. I could see a trade and possibly a QB taken there

Why picking Joe Burrows is not a good bet.  $99,000 to win $4500 ? (see above link for more)

Joe Burrow odds-on favorite to go No. 1

Check out more 2020 NFL Draft Odds and Picks!

The NFL Draft remains scheduled to be held April 23-25 from Las Vegas. Joe Burrow comes off a brilliant Heisman Trophy-winning run in leading LSU to an unbeaten season capped by a 42-25 win in the National Championship and is the presumptive No. 1 overall pick.

The Athens (OH) High School product is expected to go first to the Bengals in a move considered such a lock that there’s simply no value in riding the development that it would cost you a $99,000 to win $4,500.

t

The numbers make Burrow far too “chalky” a choice to realistically back, which means most will likely sit on the sidelines betting-wise. Burrow throwing an orange and black cap and holding up a Cincinnati jersey after hearing Roger Goodell call his name first seems like a lock.

The only way to bet the No. 1 pick is to ride an upset, which means backing the more likely of two unlikely scenarios. Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa has rebounded from a dislocated hip enough to potentially ascend back to No. 1, which is where everyone assumed he’d be taken when last college football season began. With Burrow lukewarm on joining Cincinnati, there’s always a chance that Tagovailoa could slide in late in the process if he’s able to impress the Bengals in a private workout........... More than likely Cincinnati will pick up Mr Heisman as pick #1  -unless-  they get a fantastic deal from someone.

Mayfield, OBj and a second

Would Cleveland make that offer  -and- would Cincinnati accept it ?

But who knows what else might happen ?

I don't consider  posting betting odds as "news".

That's your point of view and you're entitled to it -but- sports betting odds and news are as old as sports itself especially now with sports wagering as close as your cellphone all over the USA.

Amazing too how close sports opinions are reflected by the odds of don't you think that Mr Heisman is the odds on favorite to be #1 pick of the Cincinnati ?

And who is likely to be the #2 pick and so on.

It is not news to say that  Burrows would be the favorite to be taken #1 overall.

Gambling odds are not sports news.....it is just information for someone who gambles.  Don't get me wrong....when I was in Vegas  in Feb. I put a few bucks down on some sports bets.   (I won my Super Bowl bet).   It is just not sports news.

Pussy... ;)

Real mix of shitty bets and sucker bets at the top. I can't see them getting much action with that board.

There used to be a game online that I loved called PlayTheDraft... site is dead now, but it was a blast. Only other Board member I ever talked into playing it was Mudfly. You'd probably have been the 2nd one.

Also had some interesting sleeper insight that was written up weekly.

It's not a draft sim like FanSpeak or First-Pick. It's what you'd get if you combined the draft and the stock market.

  • You get a pile of cash.
  • You buy players of widely varying costs.
  • You can buy and sell at any time (trading) or hold for the long haul (invest).
  • Player values rises and falls based upon how their projected draft position's rookie salary rises and falls with events between the Senior Bowl and the draft.
  • Their final value set by their actual draft position.

Check it out... https://playthedraft.com/

I contacted the guy who ran the site and asked about adding the ability to short players. An inability to profit from players falling down the board was all the game lacked IMO.

1&2 picks in order Burrow—Tia @ 5/2

I hope that's a typo...

While I value tia's player evaluations, I don't see him going #2 overall... ;)

Tua, perhaps?

JAX  tanking for Trevor?

And I am still not sold on Baltimore.

To my eye the easy Over looks to be MIA at 6.0.

An Under is tougher to pick, but CHI at 8.0 jumps out at me as they still do not have a QB.

Picking teams with even games introduces the possibility of a push.

No that one lost lol

Still getting a 6/1 and 9/1 straight away isn't bad at all.   Looks so easy after the fact.

Yeah was nice to hear those names reeled off !

Used a chunk of the returns to put on Josh Jones going to the Bengals at top of round two which didn’t go so well !
