He will get the Edge premium he deserves. The remaining name that jumps out at me is Logan Ryan. After struggling for a couple years in Nashville he returned to his NE form last season with 4 INTs, 4 FFs and 113 tackles... 113 ! That is a massive total for a CB. Seattle wants him back and reports say they offered him 18M to do so (seeing now, Sea. offered 13M, but who can anybody believe?)...JC refused, to go test the FA market.. and watching 5 quarters (OT) of Hawks beating 49'ers on MNF ain't going to hurt his case... Of course we had so many holes and let so many players walk that we HAD to have a pretty good free agency period. It takes the pressure off the draft a bit. We need an OT (I say, LT), we need an edge rusher, (two major positions) we need a G and another LB'er (or 2). Still plenty of work to do. In a week's time we've taken OFF of our needs list: 1 OT (I say, RT), Backup QB, TE, 2 Safeties, and running downs MLB. (I guess we can include FB too, since we now have 2 of 'em). Josh Norman was a 45 and looked like he was mentally already coaching high school rather than playing on Sundays. I hope we actually sign Brandon Carr who was a 66 this past season -- serviceable, but not worth the high-priced contract he was playing under.
