At least one of those names has been announced. A semi-surprise: Bill Cowher. So, in essence, the "special class" is only 15 people. This is good in this sense: it reduces the chances that fucking Art Modell would be selected. Dan Reeves went to the SB 4 times with 2 different teams, and lost them all. Would one win have made a difference? It didn't for Marv Levy and Bud Grant.....each 4 time SB losers.......but inducted. Flores? With the Rooney rule discussion, maybe we should say that the HOF should have their own Rooney Rule...His background is Hispanic/Native American. If they have Dungy in there for just one SB win, why not Flores with 2? Marty had more wins and a better win pct. than Cowher....in the regular season. So, obviously winning in the Postseason is a substantial requirement for induction......as Marty and Reeves are not in, even with substantially better regular season records.
