Yeah me too. Because it was the thought that counts.

While many thought that the cash was real, an LSU athletic official told The Advocate's Brooks Kubena that the bills were fake.

This certainly doesn't come as a surprise as Beckham appeared to just be having fun with the LSU players. After all, it is against NCAA rules for athletes to accept money of any kind prior to turning pro. Beckham did send every LSU player a set of headphones before the national championship game, which is allowed.

LSU released a statement today that the cash was real and they are looking into it

Ouch!

Hope there are no consequences to be paid either by Beckham or the players.

As soon as the game was over Burrow could hire an agent, sign a contract to advertise or take money from anyone he wanted. As he said he ceased to be a scholarship athlete.

Nothing like messing up the system for the fun of it........ unless they are just that stupid.

Oh yeah more BROWNS in the news.  Is this new coach a disciplinarian?

On the crawl this morning on ESPN and time spent on First & Last and Golic & Wingo.  Kevin Stefanski welcome to Cleveland.

OBJ always putting “I” ahead of “us”

How do you figure that with this move?  He gave  few bucks, maybe....or pieces of worthless paper,  to some kids.

It was unnecessary.  In the history of college football championship celebrations this was the first time someone handed out cash to the players postgame in front of a TV crew for all the world to see.

I’m guessing this was premeditated.  So he contemplated doing this before the moment struck and thought it was a good idea.

As his Alma Mater is celebrating one of the biggest wins in their history, OBJ has to get in front of the TV and make a himself part of the narrative.

Instead of LSU enjoying this time now they are going be be in full blown CYA mode. People are going to question if this was the first time it happened. They will question if players with no eligibility are getting money behind closed doors. The film breakdown, no doubt, has already begun.

Actually....no one knows or cares much about it...except some around here.   So....overblown local story is all.  One we should all move on from.

Show where anyone besides local people here are making a big deal of this.

These are not the droids you are looking for.  Move along.

I’ve posted two links. It was on the crawl for ESPN this morning. Jason Fitz talked about it on first and last and it was a segment on Golic & Wingo.  Pretty sure it’s national news now.  Try google or Twitter to see the extent

Again, this isn’t even arguing if what he did was morally wrong.  It’s about OBJ putting the spotlight on himself in a way that is at minimum controversial in a time that the Browns don’t need any controversial headlines.

Are we as a fan base so naive to think the Giants cut ties with him even though he’s a team first, fantastic teammate

Handing out money to other people actually seems kind of team first...no?

I would say yes if it wasn’t a complete “look at me”.  Buying the headphones for the team seemed like a nice gesture but this is a “makin’ rain in the club” kinda moment

There's supposed to be a warrant out for OBJ's arrest, for slapping a cop on the ass in the locker room while celebrating with LSU players.

There's also a lot of talk on social media that Baker Mayfield has a problem with porn.

I never thought Odell & Baker would get in trouble for spanking on the same day.

Just saw the ass slapping video.  Browns released a statement.  What a well meaning, composed adult we have in that locker room.  Poor OBJ, just misunderstood.

I'm tired of this clown. Is his production on the field worth the $hit show and stupid antics he continually does? We want to change the culture on this team per our new coach? send him packing. There are plenty of top notch receivers avail in this draft.

Now we’re getting somewhere.  Maybe get lucky and get a 2nd rounder for him or a 3rd & 5th

No problem with any of this whatsoever.

If my team won I'd be handing out cash and slapping cops asses too ... albeit less cash and female cops.
