ABOUT FREE AGENTS

Now that the Indians made the Corey Kluber deal with Texas and saved his $17-million salary, they have created some cash to sign an infielder.

Jose Ramirez has offered to play second or third base. He prefers to stay at third, and the Indians believe it’s his best position.

Now, they are shopping for a second baseman, and here are some names on their list. I don’t know the order of preference. Besides, money will be a major factor...... continued in the link......

dont you wish we kept Gio Urshela?

He has great defense skills at 3rd base but wasn't good enough at the plate.

You wonder with some time how he'd turn out.

yes  just in passing (no stats) watched a Yankees game- Urshela looked like he got some size and had a good day at the plate.

but I havent followed his progress.

Cesar Hernandez will play 2nd base

It will seem strange without ol' "dirt bag" Kipnis at second.   But they should be fine with gold glovers Lindor and Perez plus Ramirez, Santana and Hernandez.
