A couple of things...

On another thread, someone gave the line as  Pittsburgh being favored by  1.5 points.  So WTF is up with that?

Also...are you saying that they are saying that Vernon will be out for this upcoming game vs. the Steelers?

If so.....can anyone tell us   WTF is wrong with that guy?  I mean, did he barf up a lung or what?  (courtesy of Ferris Buehler)

If you look at the first line that is the opening line and Pittsburgh was a 3 point favorite things changed after Sunday's game.

The second line is the consensus or basically an average of several sportsbooks where Cleveland is a 1 point favorite.

Look closer and you'll see here where the line varies from pick (even) to CLE -2.

Fun with numbers.  :)

What you are saying is that you have listed several sports books,  all of whom show different lines for the game.

He was “very close” last Monday.  Whatever that means.

it is knee thing so you never know.

JuJu and Artie Burns potentially being out would be huge for us

So....Njoku fully on board to play?

Or have they even activated him?

Edit: Per the Browns roster on their website,  he is still on the "reserve, designated to return"   list.

Also...they have not taken Ogunobi off the suspended list.

Rule 1) after a gameday..Ignore all injury reports (most are from prior week & same) .. Cause no team has to report them till Wednesday's/Thursday's/Friday's.. Monday's players check in with their boo-boo needs & major injuries (following mri or X-rays) can be reported but not official till listed on report Wednesday

Rule 2) Ogun nor any player can practice till league lifts suspension..Teams may then need to release any replacement added (DT Brandin Bryant brought up from PS last week)..

Njoku-- Teams trying to add players from IR or FA's try to do this before close of NFL business day Friday's..I've also seen PS guys (RB Elijah McQuire) added on a Saturday after final practice & play that Sunday.. Njoku can practice up to 3 weeks from 11-20-19 to determine his IR status..deadline date 12-11-19

Key will be  if Ju-ju and Conner can play. If they don't  the Browns  chances  of winning  go  up dramatically.

Concussion protocol.

We have some talented skill position players....but we need decent OLine play in order to utilize them.  We need all hands on deck.

Robinson may not be all that great, but they keep going back to him after trying somebody else so he's probably the best we've got.  :(

In the FYI department:

Cleveland at Pittsburgh – The Browns beat the Steelers, 21-7, in Week 11. The Steelers are 7-1-1 SU, 4-5 ATS during the past nine meetings versus the Browns.

San Francisco at Baltimore – The 49ers beat the Ravens, 25-20, at home in 2015.

New York Jets at Cincinnati – The Bengals squeaked past the Jets, 23-22, on the road in 2016.

The Bills winning doesn't help the Browns playoff chances at all. You can just about pencil them in as the #5 seed. So much for "America's Team". They suck.....  Mixed emotions that the Bills won, but I'm sure glad the Cowboys lost.

My heart desperately wants to predict a winner but my brain isn't having it. Brain keeps saying we're in deep shit and this game, this exact game at Pittsburgh, with the season on the line, with a chance for the sweep, and everything else this game means to our fans and players...is going to be a disaster.

I THINK this is my brain's way of not knowing what to do when we have the better team. When WE'RE the team who won 3 in a row. When WE won the previous game and shut them the freak down.

A friend of mine told me you never bet with your heart, and I'm certain that's sound advice, but this week my brain can kiss my ass and I FULLY expect a dominating performance that will leave the Steelers' fans crying on the tits of their mothers. Send these assholes HOME for the post season.

ONE MAN'S OPINION CLE-PIT II

Past history versus the here and now.

What are the two differences between Joe turkey Jones and Myles Garrett ?  1. Joe had a cool nickname. 2. Joe got away with it, dumb Myles didn't.

Speaking of the dearly departed  Myles Garrett is a premier pass rusher, who might be the most valuable player on Cleveland’s defense. But the Browns don’t need the suspended Garrett to beat the Steelers a second time in three weeks. The Browns have their swagger reeling off three straight victories, including defeating the Steelers, 21-7, two weeks ago when Garrett drew a season-long suspension after ripping off the helmet of Mason Rudolph and hitting the quarterback in the head with it.

Baker Mayfield is playing his best ball, with an eight-to-one touchdown-to-interception ratio in his past four games. Mayfield has plenty of firepower with Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

The Steelers don’t have an adequate backup quarterback for Ben Roethlisberger. Neither Rudolph, nor third-stringer Delvin Hodges are the answer. The Steelers are likely down their two best skill position players, too, with wide receiver JuJu Smith-Shuster dealing with a concussion and James Connor bothered by a shoulder injury. Pittsburgh also is without suspended center Maurkice Pouncey another week.

The BROWNS are 2 point favorites, O/U 39 and will be double digit favorites next week.

SO what to do? EASY PART II, take the BROWNS -2 and they should put up enough points to go OVER 39 for a bit and sit back and watch a good game.  :)
