FairHooker11 Posted November 17, 2019 Report Share Posted November 17, 2019 love true stories - this takes place in a simpler time - the mid 60's and names like Henry Ford II, Lee Iacocca, Carroll Shelby, Enzo Ferrari, Bruce McClaren and a guy I never heard of before (C Bales character) Ken Miles - the driver in this excellent picture. It was fun to learn about the guy Carroll Shelby (M Damon) because up til then, all I ever known about him was the doctored up versions of the Mustang bearing his name. ( you know the air scoops on the rear pillar of the roof for the fake rear engine ?) but in all fairness Shelby's and Miles team building the GT for the 24 hours of LeMans was a success 4 years straight. Great story also surrounding the corporate suits (more like dicks) and the obvious brown nosing and strong arming within Ford to win approval by Henry... & Miles gets screwed to say the least. go see it - contains no PC crap either. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Knew something of Carrol Shelby played by Matt Damon... next to nothing about Ken Myles played by Christian Bale. Damon was good. Bale was great. Some hokey shifting footage in a couple of the races dropped my appreciation a tad, but still came away liking this movie a lot.
