THE BROWNS BOARD

This Week in the AFC North

You're Welcome.

The Great Zomboni flew up to Cleveland and personally ended the Curse, the Losing Streak, and all negative bullshit.

It wasn't pretty ... we needed an assist from Atenears on the final FG, and some much needed body heat from our Celebrity Guest Prognosticator,  Sophia

So now I am back in my Lair, so this one is on the Browns ... They need to Step up like they have never stepped up before, because it is STEELER WEEK!

One Time, Brownies, One Time!

Pittsburgh at Cleveland, Thursday Night Football, 8:20 PM

It's the Baker versus the Mason for the first of ... many? We'll see if Rudolf is still allowed to lead Santa Tomlin's sleigh when it is all said and done, but the more intriguing matchup will be the Browns 1-2 Punch of Chubb and Hunt versus the Steelers athletic linebackers. If the browns can win the battle of the line of scrimmage and let the backs cause first down damage, it should bode very well for Baker finding OBJ and Landry in the secondary. On the other side of the ball, the Browns need to bring their best pass rush of the year to disrupt the inexperienced QB and get the fans into the game. Should be fun ... with Browns pulling away at the end. BROWNS 27 STEELERS 17

Houston at Baltimore, Sunday, 1:00 PM

Lamar has met his match in this one. DeShaun Watson will be the best QB on the field, and the Texans will have the best defense on the field. Big win for Houston as the Ratbird Bandwagon starts losing its wheels. TEXANS 24 RAVENS 13

Cincinnati at Oakland, Sunday, 4:25 PM

I imagine if you are still standing in a Survival poll, you are all in on Oakland. You won't be disappointed. RAIDERS 30 BUNGLES 6

Keep Chopping, Browns, Keep Chopping ...

This thread almost got by everybody, including me.  That is what a Thursday night game does for you.

As to the other two AFCN teams:

Houston at Baltimore.    I just think Baltimore is due for a come down.   Houston  27, Baltimore 20.

Cincinnati at Oakland.  I also think that the Bengals are due for a lucky win....and the erratic Raiders are just the team to oblige:  Bengals 21, Raiders 17

Now, as for the proper assistance with these predictions.....hard to not follow Sophia's bouncing Betty's....but lets give her a run for her money.

I have to turn a bit serious (not)  with my selection.....and tell you all that choosing the proper celebrity breasts is NOT any kind of monkey business. Katy Perry here can attest to that.

Cincinnati upsetting the Raiders is a solid pick, I can see this too.

I would be just as happy with a Cinci win next week, besides a Cinci win this week ends our Survival 2019 contest.

Oh and the rest of my AFCN picks this week:

@Baltimore   vs X Houston 4.5 4.0 4.0 4.0 Sun 11/17 01:00 PM -
@Oakland   vs X Cincinnati 10.0 10.5 10.0 10.0 Sun 11/17 04:25 PM -

It just doesn't feel like GAMEDAY SUNDAY without the BROWNS !

Maybe I'm getting old but these night games have killed me. 😁

Give me Browns at 1pm or 4pm on Sundays every week

The Browns officially will receive the Texans 3rd rounder in next year's draft. Duke Johnson will be active for the 10th time this season, making the 4th rounder acquired by the Browns for him a 3rd rounder.

...... maybe they can find an all pro DE with the pick.

These last two wins held off a lot of the "draft talk" for now.  Hopefully that will continue.

But, nevertheless..here I go, a bit, since you brought it up:  Third round  OL?   (maybe 1st and second there)  and depth on defense...DL/LB/DB?

The Browns need to concentrate on both lines this offseason, for sure.

It feels weird that it's November and we haven't talked about the upcoming draft (sans generic "We need this position") at all. Usually by now we all have our 1st round targets!

You'll never hear me complain about the Browns investing in the trenches. On the OLine, Tretter and Bitonio should be around for a while, but the other three spots are up for grabs long-term. On the DLine, Garrett and Ogunjobi are mainstays, but Richardson is older and Vernon is IMO a stopgap. Plus, you can never have too many DLinemen, considering how you rotate guys in and out regularly.

Boomer Esiason, on the CBS pregame show, of course placing all the blame on Myles Garrett.

Not shocking, since he pretty much wrote the book on being a bitch QB.

Yea, for sure.  Of course, was he not also the QB for the "You're not in Cleveland, you're in Cincinnati" game?  So, his animosity against Cleveland is a likely factor.

I met a guy recently who told me that he once met Boomer while he was doing work down in Cincinnati, and said he is an even bigger douchebag in person. Not shocked, at all.

must be something in the Ohio water..if Brady Quinn's head gets any larger it may explode..nfl radio, pretty much don't take callers anymore that he can douchbag on 3 days a week..and they both do some work at CBS

I completely blew my choices this past week.   I mean, I am sorry....but the Ravens are NOT that talented to be this good. Attested to by the fact that the Browns smoked them.   What kind of deal with the devil did they make?

And I took a chance on the Bangles....who are better than the Bengals.  They really may go for the Golden Sombrero....or whatever going 0-16 is called.

And with this...it is goodbye to Katy Perry and her tits.  But, one last round before we show her the door:

And since I mentioned that the Bangles are better than the Bengals,  here is an unoffical help aid from Susannah Hoffs.  In this case however, it is her cute little bum that provides the stenographer assist rather than what she has up top:
