Here are this week's Survey Questions.    Give your answers/opinions

1. My belief, after yesterday, is that the Browns are the team to beat in the AFCN.   Which of the other 3 teams do you think will be the Browns biggest challenge for the division?

 

2. While the Browns had a stellar performance yesterday....which areas do you feel they need the most improvement at?

 

3. Should Freddie stick to just being HC, and give up play calling duties.....or not...and why?

 

4. It seems that we are being inundated by "betting threads" on here.    Do you regularly bet on NFL games?

 

5.  As many as 1/4th or more of the projected starting QBs in this league have gone down for one reason or another:  injury/illness/benched.  Guys like Brees/BR/Trubisky now/inluding Luck/Darnold/Josh Allen/Foles.     Is this trend of  QBs going out going to continue?

 

6. Have you got a trip to go anywhere this Fall?  Where?

 We did good in the division last year and started out good    All 3 pretty much suck equally so I’ll go in state with the bungles being our biggest thorn in the division.

Nothing glaring to me. A continuing improvement in all aspects as they play  

 

3. Should Freddie stick to just being HC, and give up play calling duties.....or not...and why?

stick to the plan.. he’s doing better than anyone else we’ve had

 

4. It seems that we are being inundated by "betting threads" on here.    Do you regularly bet on NFL games?

I don’t gamble at all.

 

5.  As many as 1/4th or more of the projected starting QBs in this league have gone down for one reason or another:  injury/illness/benched.  Guys like Brees/BR/Trubisky now/inluding Luck/Darnold/Josh Allen/Foles.     Is this trend of  QBs going out going to continue?

As long as I’ve watched football,  QBs get creamed routinely..

 

6. Have you got a trip to go anywhere this Fall?  Where?

1. My belief, after yesterday, is that the Browns are the team to beat in the AFCN.   Which of the other 3 teams do you think will be the Browns biggest challenge for the division?

I still expect it to be the Steelers.....even though I hope they are in for like a 3-13 season

 

2. While the Browns had a stellar performance yesterday....which areas do you feel they need the most improvement at?

Well...the one area is to get and stay healthy.  Nothing can help us more.   Need to tamp down the penalties.   And the OL can hopefully gel even better (vast improvement shown yesterday over last week though)

 

3. Should Freddie stick to just being HC, and give up play calling duties.....or not...and why?

I usually do not like HCs also being  play callers.  In the past...for us, this has not worked. That does not mean Freddie cannot carry it off.

 

4. It seems that we are being inundated by "betting threads" on here.    Do you regularly bet on NFL games?

The only times I have done so in the past was a couple of times when I went once to Lake Tahoe years ago, and another time to Wendover NV  for a couple of hours when I was out in Park City Utah in the Fall.   Put like 5 bucks on the Browns each time.   IF we get sports gambling in casinos here, however, I could see going up to one of those for a day of entertainment.  If they set it up the way they do in Vegas/Nevada, they would have every game on big screen TVs....and I would set a betting/entertainment budget obviously..to make the other games interesting.   I could do that like once a year.

I think there have been more this year.  And hopefully it is other team's QBs who get it in the future, and not ours.

 

6. Have you got a trip to go anywhere this Fall?  Where?

Yep, a week in Jackson Hole WY...plus a couple of other days in Cody and other parts of Wyo.  (The trout fishing cool, though I do not partake)

In no particular order- the Ravens will be the Browns competition in the AFC North. going to NE for the Patriots game, and Arizona for the Cardinals...  

& according to ESPN 11 starting qbs are out due to injury, retirement (Luck), or bad play (Eli & others) That's 1\3rd.

Discipline/penalties

No because hes good at both.

I think they are the team to beat as well.  Not to be cocky but the Browns are their own biggest obstacle followed by the Ravens.  The Ravens are going to challenge some teams that haven’t seen their offense before I think they will some games moving forward.

 Clean up the penalities, get healthy, playcalling, perimeter Oline needs to build on this past performance.  They need ease Baker into year 2 I want to see more easy to digest game plans for him again this year.  It seems like the first couple weeks they treated him like a vet he was audibling more.  He’s not there yet.

He should have input and stamp the gameplans.  I haven’t seen a gross misuse of time management or any situation where he is seemingly not able to handle the extra work- it’s a long season though.  I think Monken can be a tremendous resource.

No, if I do it’s rare.  The game has turned into a WWE spectacle with obscure penalties and twists and turns in the last minute.  I think future bets are the best way to go picking team win totals. College football is easier IMO especially the smaller conferences.

I hope we are no longer apart of that trend as we have been for the past 20 years.  This will continue with concussion protocol knocking guys out of games frequently and also frequent change happening to save coaching jobs and pressure from GMs when they move up and select QBs.

6. Have you got a trip to go anywhere this Fall?  Where?

Taking a quick flight to San Fran this weekend for the game watching it with three Niner fans and  I Planned on driving to Phoenix but the wife is due right around that game.

Pittsburgh & the Ratbirds. Nothing is going to be easy, the Browns still need to grow.

Pass blocking for sure.

No. Too soon to judge but I'm not a big fan of coaches who do this.

Not anymore. Gave it up 30 years ago.

Yes, it's a violent game.

Im actually on one now. Presently  camping on Galveston Island, after pit stops in Tennessee and the Buffalo National River in Arkansas. Coming home via Mississippi/Kentucky.
