BROWNS/INDIANS schedule clash, times moved Sept. 19 and 22

Recommended Posts

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A pair of upcoming Cleveland Indians home games have new start times, including one that now puts the game in conflict with the Cleveland Browns’ first Sunday Night Football appearance in 11 years.

The Indians announced that their Sept. 19 home game against Detroit at Progressive Field will begin at 7:15 p.m., five minutes later than originally scheduled, due to the game being broadcast nationally on FOX. The game will air locally on WJW-FOX 8 and will not be televised on SportsTime Ohio.

Additionally, ESPN has selected the Tribe’s Sept. 22 game against Philadelphia to be the Sunday Night Baseball national game. First pitch will be moved from 1:10 p.m. to a new start time of 6:37 p.m. All gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with the right field gate opening at 4:30 p.m.

Limited tickets are still available for both games on Indians.com.

The Sept. 22 change moves the game into conflict with Week 3 of the NFL season as the Cleveland Browns host the defending NFC champion Los Angeles Rams in their first Sunday night game since 2008. The Browns lost that game 10-6 to Pittsburgh. Kickoff between the Browns and Rams is scheduled for 8:20 p.m., less than two hours after the new first pitch time at Progressive Field.

Thursday, Sept. 19 vs. Detroit at 7:15 p.m. on FOX (WJW 8 locally)

· First pitch moved from 7:10 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

· SportsTime Ohio will not broadcast the game.

Sunday, Sept. 22 vs. Philadelphia at 6:37 p.m. on ESPN

· First pitch moved from 1:10 p.m. to 6:37 p.m.

· SportsTime Ohio will not broadcast the game.

Whut? They want to show the crowds from the blimp? Thanks for nothing ESPN.  Gonna make traffic even worse, unless you're starting Tailgating around Noon.

So they moved the first pitch by 5 min? Big shit and as far as Sports time Ohio (I have no idea what that is) I really do not own a TV, I stream everything I watch and I use a feed with no commercial to watch, the feed just stays on the crowd when the commentators are not talking, I can't stand watching stupid ass lies to get you to buy their bullshit.

Just curious is anyone planning on going to any of these games? Well I know many of you loyal BROWNS fans will be there.

Nice being in demand again.
