mjp28
8-9-2019 the FIRST PLACE Cleveland Indians are 70-46, the Twinkies have to be demoralized. 70-46 .603 on pace to win 97.74 games.....but they've been unbelievably hot, might end up 90-something. Chemist
If they end up sweeping the Twins they will surely be demoralized.

And imagine if Kluber comes back fresh and ready to roll into October. Puig and Reyes are both ready to play now.
TexasAg1969
Indians playing well for sure. And a report out of Houston game today, Yordan Alvarez (Houston via Cuba) has just set a MLB record as the first player in history to reach 50 RBIs (51 with a grand slam late last night on a 3 HR night) in his first 45 games. Astros lose on a 2 run walkoff HR this afternoon after 8 game winning streak.
mjp28
Well with 44 games left for the INDIANS and the only AL races left are for the AL Central and the wild cards. The NL is a different story.

And we were floundering from injuries. And he’ll yes, you blow a 11 1/2 game lead, you better be demoralized. Deflowered, demented, destroyed, detested and detroited... lol

The INDIANS have a chance to lock things up if the pitching actually gets better and the new RH bats get hot....... .........but September isn't here, yet. Heck ya, much can happen yet but since early June, the Tribe been nothing but smoking hot. And that was with cold bats. This trade makes for a whole new scouting report on the lineup. Gotta give this FO kudos for drafting good pitchers and raising them right. I’ve never seen a team at any level with the arms this team has. It’s like a bottomless well of quality pitchers.

The INDIANS' FO has been amazing in finding and developing talent especially pitching, the draft class of 2016 has been incredible pretty much saving the 2019 season. ALSO it was so smart to set up the Mahoning Valley,. Akron, Columbus minor league franchises so close together and so well run. Sure is fun watching the Tribe lately! Very good game to watch from start to finish with the 9th inning scoring to tie it and the bottom of the 9th walkoff. I really do hope to see them play the Astros in post season play because both are playing top notch baseball right now. I think either one is good enough to get in a great world series against the Dodgers.
flyingfooldoug
I’m just hoping that being in a real race this year puts them in a better post season mindset. Pitching is deep and new bats to help. Fuck Houston.... Fuck L.A. FTW!!!

Yes too in recent years the TRIBE had their pitching get injured and burned out late in the year and a few bats just didn't show up, even with all of that they almost won it all in 2016.
