THE BROWNS BOARD

This is actually true for all of us

Recommended Posts

It rarely bothers me what anyone says about what I believe or my politics etc.. I think warts and all Trump has been one of the best presidents in my lifetime just for putting the interests of our own country first (and being the most pro life president ever) It doesn't bother me a bit if someone else thinks Trump is the devil incarnate. I have always been stunned with my debates with some liberals and I say something negative about Obama or democrats in general how "personal" they seem to take it. I always wondered about it, as they acted like I said something offensive to one of their own family members or something. My guess is that politics has become their god...you have to serve somebody..I have a real God I serve..politics is just my (bad) hobby.

I don't take it personally either since I always thought Obama was way in over his head. I do take it personally when some give me personality traits or beliefs I don't have just because I think Trump is the most ignorant lying fraud we've ever had. I do think he's financially compromised so you can attribute that belief to me if you wish. Helsinki and since has confirmed that for me.

Here's the funny thing. If Trump is running I will vote for the democrat, but I also like my Republican Rep from my district and will vote for him to represent me there. And if Cornyn is up, he gets my vote as well. Those will counterbalance the nut jobs and their ridiculous "plans without demonstrative cost effectiveness" of the far left. I just won't compromise my beliefs about the destructive force in the WH who even lies about being a devout Christian. If he was he would know the Apostles creed by heart as I do. He can't even read it in public.

Huckabee said something recently I liked. He said Trump is not an evangelical christian but he has done some really good things on issues evangelical Christians support. Huckabee compared some of Trump's tweets to a good doctor with bad bedside manor which is a great analogy.

so, Tex is going to vote for a democrat... which piece of crap you want to vote for, Tex?

Because like him or not - Pres Trump is doing great things for America, and all of us, despite your dems

trying to destroy his presidency even before he became president.

Well, his dumb trade war with China just sunk my retirement account a couple thousand in one day. Thanks loads Donald.

He's also sent your farmer neighbors into financial hurt, sorry your ability to export all that grain to China just went down the toilet.

All Trump has to do to not get reelected is send the country into a recession. Well on his way. From my POV, Pelosi is smart enough to realize the only thing the Dems need to do to regain the White House is not nominate an out and out socialist like Sanders or someone of similar cloth.  Or our Gay Mayor Butt-boy, he'll fly with the Evangelical crowd like a lead balloon.

yeah, it's a trade war - but made necessary by previous cowards who made the deals with china in the past. Righting a wrong is so much harder and painful than doing the right thing the first time.

china has made fools of our country for decades - they don't bargain well, they are corrupt to the max. Letting them into the WTO was a critical mistake. Now they are far more powerful, and just as dangerously corrupt, and their stealing of tech, manipulating their currency, contaminating even children's toys with toxic waste products as a way of filler and getting rid of them... the list of crooked moves of theirs goes on and on. And, their economy is still in dire straits. In big trouble. They are getting ready to make a huge violent move to Taiwan and it's riches. Iran and Venezuela are intended distractions from china making it's territorial moves, as the russians will eventually make another move - probably on the Baltic States.

Yes, the short term hurts farmers etc. But don't blame the Trump admin for it. The giveaway trade deals HAD TO BE FIXED -

look at our debt. Kicking the can down the road puts us further and further in debt, and our deficit trade with china was asinine.

Only necessary from your POV Cal. Mr "Art of the Deal" doesn't like to lose- and he's going to lose this one.

I don't see giveaway. Whatever happened to freed trade? We in general make a better product cheaper. Aw, it's "made in China". Or Vietnam, or India, or Malaysia, or LOL Mexico. See a trend there Cal?  Yeah we can bring all that manufacturing back to the the USA, as soon as American workers are willing to take massive pay cuts- which they won't.

well by gosh darnit, you're onto something. We should have slave labor - $1.50 a day. and have millions of political prisoners making crap goods for nearly nothing. we could hit it big on yer "free markets" .

blech. my sarcasm on that annoyed even me.

Tex I won't hold it against you if you vote for the racist dog John Cornyn.  Seriously though this is where constantly crying racism has gotten us to where someone like Cornyn can't escape being called a racist:

If CNN Labels Senator John Cornyn As A White Supremacist What Chance Do You Have

Did you ever wonder why that is Cal?   You couldn't buy 100% American made, even if you wanted to. You'd be running around near naked if you wanted clothes with 100% American fabrics and "Made in America", not Bangladesh or Malaysia. So if you object, don't buy that stuff. I don't buy Nike for that reason. Our Unions priced themselves right out of the world wide labor market. Hate to tell you that. Couple stories. Back in the early 70s I was playing team tennis with a teacher that had a summer job at GM, in 2019 dollars they were paying him $46 bucks an hour- to sweep floors. My mom's cousin was a crane operator at Republic Steel, admittedly top of Union scale- but it works out to $136 an hour today. And now all our steel is coming from Japan- or China. Surprised?

If you think Trump's tariff war is going to change that, you're out of your mind.

points very well taken - including steel mills. The unions priced themselves out of production here in America. That is another problem.

That's another reason I support right to work laws. That keeps the unions accountable to it's members. Right now, those big unions can do whatever they want, and the members have nothing to say about it. They should have the freedom to choose.

But you are assuming that non-china goods means no competition. that is not true. There are plenty of countries that also make goods to sell here. Cutting taxes to bring back companies is a huge start. Taxing them out the wazoo drove them out - that is the liberal way. We're talkin china trade deal here, not all those other countries. I want an option to buy tennis shoes or kitchen stuff made in America.

The unions' corruption, greed, and union leadership self-promoting has hurt badly. Lesson learned. We hope.

*******************************************

What country does the US have the largest trade deficit with?
China

The Largest U.S. Deficit Is With China
More than 65% of the U.S. trade deficit in goods is with China. The $419 billion deficit with China was created by $540 billion in imports.

It's only partially political, and as I said it goes for all of us.
