I like what he said at the end about how the passion of the fans in Cleveland rivals that of those at Alabama. That is a supreme compliment. There are four places I have seen that to be true, Bama, LSU, A&M and Denver. It has become obvious over the time I have been on this board that Cleveland merits that same respect. Get ready for high priced aftermarket tickets in a sold out stadium. It's coming this fall.

Big change from 0-16 Ag.  Not that I'd sell mine (only have once, my pal has to due to health concerns) but in the depths of that winless season, we were getting 30 cents on the dollar for 20 yard line field level seats. Some of his tickets didn't sell at any price. It was so bad, NFL Ticket Exchange had to change their rule that you couldn't offer a ticket at less than face value on their site. You probably know prime seats for a decent team are usually at least 150% if not double or more face value on the secondary market.

About a month ago, looking it up, the nosebleeds were at least $2,000- double the face value for a Super Bowl ticket.  I told the guys start socking away money now if you have thoughts about attending when the Browns make the big game.  :)

PS- with the NFL going totally to electronic tickets, it's probably going to put street scalpers out of business.  And the Browns first playoff game this season? I can't wait to frame this:  image.png.e3f32ad380ca461d3a3c079f135d84c0.png

I don't doubt it but have not personally experienced it like the others.

Per this,   Alabama only  7th....behind OSU, Michigan,  Notre Dame, Florida St.  Duke and NC basketball....just ahead of  North Dakota Univ. hockey fans.

(no mention of LSU/A&M etc.)   This only applies to college sports...and note...this is put out by "Crimson Education"....an Alabama affiliate publication.

You guys have never witnessed a rowing match at USC....... some would pay a lot of money to experience it.

A&M completed the renovation of Kyle Field rounding out the bowl with over 100,000 seats. It is now the loudest venue I have ever experienced and that includes Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge and Denver's Mile High Bowl against K.C. & Mahomes this past year. All 3 are deafening, even for this guy with both hearing aids out.🙉

Probably because they pump in fake crowd sounds.  :P   Just kidding....but it has been know to happen.

And imagine how it would be if they ever had a decent football team!

Before the stadium was expanded there was a magical game one night when JM went down with a knee injury and the crowd began chanting his name. He got up, came out the 2nd half with a new knee brace on and carved up Missou to win the Heisman that night. You can't make moments like that up. The same year he led them to the win over Bama at their place. That was a decent team.

On TV, at a crowded restaurant in Cleveland - full of Browns fans, they had Njoku on there. He did great - they showed a clip of the two guys on the NFL channel going over predictions for the Browns' schedule. They ended up having the Browns winning their last four, and going 11-5. The great part was, Njoku wasn't pleased - he said they won't be happy with that - they believe the sky is the limit, they want to be the very best they can possibly be. He didn't think much of their 11-5 prediction.

He was genuine about it - it was great. Said they didn't see themselves losing any game. The Browns have built a winning lockerroom, with winning talent. The sky SHOULD be the limit.

I guess it depends on what you consider "decent".  Here is their records since 2000:

One year could be considered fairly outstanding....2012 (I assume that is the year you are referring to). 9-4 or 8-5  more typical.  You could say those were decent.....but nothing here but maybe that one year had them contending for a conference title.....or National title.

(Don't get me wrong...I would like to seem them be more of a  factor in the SEC...they just have not been one)

I never claimed they had any great years, just decent. We also had almost 20 years of really poor coaching. RC failed to adjust to early recruiting during his last few years and we paid the price. Francione was just really bad as was Sherman. Sumlin got lucky with Sherman's recruit, JFF, who had his two magic years. That is why sometimes people refer to the new Kyle Field as the House That Johnny Built. But all through those years the best teams that came were always sellouts despite the mediocre teams. Now those are sellouts at 100,000+ and Jimbo is just getting started. I expect better after he's had about two more recruiting classes to go with the one just completed.

Some fans are going to need hearing aids... Never been to Mile HIgh, though I might make the trip this year.  But.......

"According to the Guinness Book of World Records, no sports fans in the world are louder than Chiefs fans are at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs fans registered a record 142.2 decibels on Sept. 29, 2014, when the team hosted the Patriots in a Week 4 Monday Night Showdown that season. That volume is louder than a jet taking off from an aircraft carrier.

The Seattle Seahawks' CenturyLink Field was previously recorded as the NFL's loudest stadium after crowd noise reached 137.6 decibels during a 2013 Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints."

I can attest to how loud it is at Arrowhead, been there a couple times. There's a series of  speakers on top of the endzone in a box that's the size of some of the new video boards. I have to debate that 142 db though. Peak? Maybe. For those who don't know, the db scale is logarithmic. An increase of 10 db is double the volume.  Why my scepticism?  Because I had always heard that 110 db was live rock concert volume. Using progressively more powerful amps in my man cave, (the latest being seven channel 1,000 watts+) I was able to crank out- according to my trusty db meter- 110 db continuous for Rush's tune Limelight. That's not just rock concert loud, that's stupid rock concert loud. My ears were ringing after 30 seconds at that volume, and I had to dial it back.  I can put you on the beach for "Saving Private Ryan". 140 db is eight times as loud. Really?

Quite a brilliant little invention.  Really gives you an idea of how well you're exploding out of your stance.

velocity based training in general is superior. I was astounded to read that ur 1rm can neurologically vary by +-18% on any given day for various reasons. And determining max load for that day based on early set bar speed keeps u from frying ur CNS. I gotta get me one of these.

The energy feels real this year. I remember watching early season footage from this show and the HBO show and feeling cringie at times even as I was getting very excited..

I feel that they are getting along, and the feelings are real...  I am so looking forward to this season.

It will be interesting to see how Greg's Jets defense tries to handle the "new" Browns offense on MNF.😁

Williams won't try to handle the totality of the offense, he realizes the Jets don't have the horses to go 1 on 1 at the skill positions.

And that worries me because the Jets now have an even more kick ass Dline with the addition of Q Williams.   You don't have to beat "the offense"... you just have to beat Baker and the Oline.

Hmmm! Keep an eye out for Jhavonte Dean, 6'2" CB with long arms now signed as an UDFA after rookie mini-camp.  Former #1 JUCO CB with 4.3 40 times. Has STs written all over him and maybe work his way in to CB play with that length and speed.
