"Businesses that knowingly hire illegal aliens create an unfair advantage over their competing businesses," Berger said. "In addition, they take jobs away from U.S. citizens and legal residents, and they create an atmosphere poised for exploiting an illegal workforce."

Is the CEO going to jail? Or are they as usual just going to get a stern letter and make public promises to not do.it again? U throw the rich white men in jail and a big part of this immigration problem solved itself. If these white ngrs get federal pound me in the ass jail sentences, companies ain't gonna do this.

Why is the culpability of American companies in this immigration debate hardly e er brought front and center BY EITHER PARTY? Its enraging. These companies actively recruit workers in south America, verified look it up. Yet we harbor this vicious animosity toward the poor people who essentially responded to job ads.

You mean like those people in charge of the Trump organization that "found out" how many were working at their golf courses & hotels? Oh wait, he's a sitting on his ass in front of the TV watching Fox news president while they're working on his health care bill for 2021. Sitting presidents can't be  prosecuted.

Actually as it's been pointed out to you at least two of the stories published here or about legal foreign workers oh, working here on a Visa like the hundreds of kids we have at Put-In-Bay every season. There's a difference between legal and illegal. But your response doesn't seem to have anything to do with the subject, just random jabbering. But congratulations forgetting on board with yet another Democrat position namely Obamacare.

Well despite your hyperbolic rhetoric I doubt the CEO should go to jail but whatever company knowingly hires illegals should face punishment. Shouldn't they? Fuck the illegals too.

Seems like many millions who finally got coverage under it now want to keep some form of health care coverage. And now Republicans have figured out they need to address it  properly. That does not mean it needs to be Obamacare, but it does mean they need a viable replacement plan as promised and not just another Trump lie. Repeal and replace was his promise. Right now he's only working on the front half of that. McCain had him figured out as did the other Republican senators who voted it down. Their voters in Maine and Alaska told them how to vote. Offer a viable replacement, not some half-assed promise like "And Mexico will pay for it!". We all see through the lies who take the time to examine the reality.

Yes tex, everybody loves free shit and no matter how poorly it's administered once the handout is made nobody wants to change anything.

I actually thought it was a good plan until you pussies watered it down so much. I have no beef with subsidizing deadbeats for their Healthcare but everybody should pay something. And the penalty for not carrying the most basic health care insurance should be a lot stiffer than it ever was.

The laws aren't going to change because the folks who fill wallets of all stripes benefit greatly from the cheap labor. Dems and Republicans are both guilty of taking money from these companies.

And that would be easy as hell to fix with a guest-worker program and solid identification as well as easing up the legal immigration system for people with actual skills.

But then it's harder to play the demagogue card.
